Vehicle Detail
Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I am a licensed wholesaler offering traded in and off lease vehicles direcely to the public. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you thousands over what a retail dealer might ask for the same vehicle by eliminating most of the retail overhead and letting you name your own price. Before listing a vehicle on ebay, I personally road test each one so that I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based on the information gathered during its road test. The information contained within this description is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. Vehicles are road tested only. If you would like to come see this or any vehicle in my inventory, just ask. I would be happy to set a time to meet you at my storage facility and let you look over any car you want. An administrative fee of $99 will be added to the final bid. All vehicles are sold "as-is" and "as-traded". Unless specifically stated otherwise, I do not service or recondition any vehicle prior to sale. Any known faults are fully disclosed. Please read the entire listing carefully before bidding or asking questions. I am proud to offer this very rare 1990 Cadillac Seville STS for a NO RESERVE auction today. Most of us are familiar with the current model STS offered by Cadillac and even the famous Northstar Powered Seville STS's we've been used to seeing for the last decade and a half but this car is a rare treat. This is the car that laid the groundwork for Cadillac's performance sedans. The STS option was first introduced in 1990 to the more civilized Seville sedan. The STS offered special interior, larger wheels with performance tires and speed sensing performance suspension that gave a soft ride around town and firmed up the faster you went for aggressive handling not really associated with the Cadillac brand in the past. This was really a land mark car for General Motors. I hold these cars up with the Cadillac Allante, Buick Grand National and the Olds Toronado (last generation) as modern classics that hold great significance in showing what Detroit could do when it thought outside of the box. The body of this Seville STS is in EXCELLENT condition from bumper to bumper and rocker to roof. The beautiful black paint has a mile deep shine from any angle. The STS option deleted some of the random chrome that adorned traditional domestic luxury vehicles of the time which was one of many departures from preconceived ideas of a luxury sedan in this country. One would be hard pressed to find a notable dent, ding, scratch or anything on this well kept example. The larger STS specific wheels are in great condition and are wrapped in good, deep rubber. All of the glass and lenses are in tact. Just look at all of the photos. I love this car...if I had room, this would go into my personal collection and sit right next to my Grand National! The interior of this Cadillac is simply stunning. When you enter the cabin, you are taken in by the supple leather interior and rich wood everywhere. With the exception of a small nick in the drivers seat cushion, the leather interior is in perfect condition. The 14 way power seats hug you in every possible way and are in excellent working condition. The carpets and headliner are clean and in excellent condition. You will find the interior jammed with options and features like Twilight Sentinal, astro roof (not operational), trip computer and onboard monitoring center. This STS even has the optional integrated garage door opener which was (as far as I know) the first one available and an early version of the Homelink system many luxury cars use today. That blew my mind to see that in such an early car! The stereo system sounds excellent and works as it should. The climate control is in excellent working condition. The air conditioner will make your eyes water in the middle of summer! This model is equipped with the STS specific full rear console which gives this car a very sports car like feel. The full rear console was only offered for one year. The trunk is clean, spacious and includes the original protective mat. The automatic truck closer works perfectly. Pride in ownership shows everywhere you look! The original gold keys are included as is a complete set of owners manuals which show the car was originally purchased by a Pennsylvania company and was most likely used by an executive as a company car. Mechanically, this Seville looks to be in good condition. The 4.5L engine starts right up. It does run a little rough so I would suggest a routine tune up when you get it home. I noticed no smoke and no leaks. Even running a little rough, the engine makes great power and rockets to highway speeds with little effort. The suspension is nice and tight. The steering is exact and responsive, too. The brakes stop the car very well and show no pulsation. At highway speeds, this car drives strait as an arrow without even a hint of a vibration. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts perfectly. She is inspected until 11/2011 for PA buyers. It is an honor to drive a car like this. It gets a lot of looks out on the road. I have driven this car several times and it is an absolute pleasure to drive. The miles are nice and low which makes this a great investment that you can drive. I have to say, there is no feeling quite as rewarding as driving a piece of American automotive history down the road as far as I am concerned. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
