This 1972 Lotus Europa is in excellent mechanical condition. The previous owner spent a lot of time and money rebuilding almost everything on the car. The twin cam engine runs strong with no leaks, smoke or problems at all. It has great oil pressure, and loads of power and torque.The 4-speed gearbox shifts tight and smooth through all gears. The clutch works great. The brakes work perfect ( the boosters are still installed but are currently bi-passed for a firmer pedal feel). The electrics all work great. The chassis and suspension are solid and rust free with no known problems at all. The steering is light and tight. The cooling system works great. The Interior is also in excellent condition. The seats have no rips or splits. The dash is nice with just a few cracks in the lacquered wood finish mostly around the stereo (AM/FM cassette). The headliner is very nice. The interior trim around the windscreen (thin plastic strip) could be nicer but not too bad. carpets door panels and dash pad are all very nice. The heat and defrost works great and both power windows go up and down quickly and smoothly. All instruments are working. The steering wheel is nice but has one small split on its seam (you can see this in one of the photos) Both luggage compartments are nice and clean. The body is in great condition with just a few small typical lotus stress cracks showing. No signs of collision damage or repairs at all. It is the original colour but has been re-sprayed at some point in the past. The paint is presentable but could do with being re-painted again as it is fairly dull and has quite a few flaws (scratches and small rubbed through spots). The Glass is all nice. The original Lotus wheels are all in very nice condition. There is a spare rim with it but no tyre on the spare. The Pirelli P44 175/70 R13 tyres look like new with lots of tread left but they are rather old and although they work fine , should probably be replaced. It comes with a brand new battery. It has a clear title and is currently licensed as a collector vehicle in Washington state. This car is a blast to drive and quite comfortable even on long trips. Overall this is a great ready to drive example of this classic british sports car.. Car can be viewed by appointment in Granite Falls WA (near Seattle).
