This is a Original, "Unmolested" 1970 Buick Skylark. I was looking for a 1971 skylark ( I am rebuilding a 1971 Skylark Convertible ). I saw an ad for this car in Craigslist, it was listed as a 1971. When I got there it was this car. I got it anyway since a lot of parts are identical. After I got it home and cleaned it up a little I realized how nice it was. I know how hard it is to find "Unmolested" cars, so I know someone out there is looking for a 70'. It would be a shame for me to take this one apart for parts.Here is what I was told:The car came from a dealer in Virgina that the person I got it from knew, the car was traded in and just sat at the dealer, He said he was the second owner, the car was shiped down to Atlanta a year and a half ago and has sit since. The miles are original we pushed it on my car hauler and I towed it home.Here is what I know: I have a Title from Virgina, that has been dealer reasinged on 1/4/10, that reads Miles 73649 Box A , issued 2/10/03 Box A, ACTUAL.I put in a battery and some gas, the car started right up. I did not want to drive it far since it had sat so long and the tires are dry rotted, I pulled it out of my drive way and turned it in my neighbors drive way 2 houses down the street.The car needs to be restored, but it is not to far gone. It has a 350 w/ 2 barrel carb, Automatic, Factory A/C, Factory AM radio. The carpet is gone, floor is rusty but mostly there with only a few small holes. The door panels are gone. The seats need to be recovered but are all there. The dash is good with no cracks. Most of the chrome is good. The A/C compressure is there but with no belt so I don't know if it works. The drivers side of the car has very little rust that is just starting. The passenger side of the car has some rust in the typical spots. Bottom of fender, door need patching and rear quarter is just starting, but repairable. The trunk lid is rusted out at the rear seam and the truck floor is rusty with some small holes. The front bumper is rusted out at bottom and looks like it hit a curb and bent up a little into grill and cracked it. No core support or structural damage and car apears to be accident free I have been as up front as I can be. If no one out there wants it I will use it for parts. I have taken pics of all the described issues. I am not playing the start at $100 with reserve or ghost bids.I am listing it for as little as I will take with NO RESERVE.
