Vehicle Detail
Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I am a licensed wholesaler offering traded in and off lease vehicles directly to the public. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you thousands over what a retail dealer may ask for a similar vehicle by allowing you to set your own price and not pay all of the retail fluff. Before listing a vehicle on ebay, I personally drive each one so that I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this car based completely on time spent behind the wheel. The information contained within this description is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic, nor do I possess the facility, equippment or training to offer anything but basically stating the obvious as I drive the car. If you would like to drive any of my vehicles before bidding, just ask. We can arrange a time to meet at my warehouse to kick all the tires you want. An administrative fee of $99 will be added to the final bid of each auction. All vehicles are sold "as-is" and "as-traded". Unless specifically stated otherwise, I do not service or recondition any vehicle prior to sale. Any known faults are fully disclosed. Please read the entire description carefully before bidding or asking questions. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a beautiful 1999 Volkswagen Jetta Wolfsburg Edition. This example is finished in a gorgeous dark green with light tan interion. I would rate the exterior of this Jetta as AVERAGE. Although it's almost impossible to see in the photos, the hood has a few small dents in it and a piece of black plastic trim is missing from the sideskirt. Otherwise, this is one of the best looking MK3 Jetta's I have seen in a while. The dark green paint has a mile deep shine from any angle! The alloy wheels and rear spoiler give a sporty look to this one. All four tires have very good tread on them. All of the glass appears to be in tact. Overall, this is a great looking Volkswagen as you can see from the pictures. I would rate the interior of this VW as AVERAGE. The Wolfsburg Edition models come with the sport seats found in the top of the line GLX model. They are nice and supportive and show almost no wear at all. The headliner is clean and in tact. The carpets could use a good cleaning as they are stained. I have a one of those "little green clean machines" for when my cat craps on the carpet. I will see if I can get them any cleaner than they are now. The Wolfsburg Edition also comes with power windows, locks and mirrors. The drivers window stops half way down for some reason. The stereo has been upgraded to an aftermarket CD player which I have yet to figure out. It does power up as it should. It's on Auxillary Mode and I don't know how to switch it to radio. The portion of the dash that houses the climate control doesn't seem to be getting any power. The fan is inoperable and the entire panel will not light up. It may be a general power issue versus a bad fan motor. The handle to the glove box is broken. Otherwise, it's a pretty decent car to ride in. These cars have loads of room. I've owned more VW's than I'll ever admit to. When they act up, they act up...but you get used to it. Owning a VW is a love/hate relationship. If you have ever owned one, you know what I mean... Mechanically, this Jetta seems pretty decent. The 2.0L engine starts right up and runs smoothly. I saw no evidence of any leaks and the car does not smoke. Other than an airbag light, there are no warning lights on in the dash. The engine makes good power compared to others I've driven. The suspension is nice and tight. The steering is very responsive as it should be. When you drive strait, the wheel is off a little to the right but it does not pull at all or vibrate. Even at 80+ mph, she tracks strait as an arrow with no vibration in the front end. The transmission takes a couple seconds to engage but appears to shift properly. It has a new PA inspection but I think it needs brakes. Under heavy braking, there is some pulsation in the pedal and the car doesn't stop as well as I think it should. Also, the car thinks the emergency brake is engaged, preventing the running lights from operating. Replacing the brakes should correct that. During the few times I have driven this car, it behaved very well. I just drove it home tonight and it does great on the highway as well as around town. The engine keeps proper temperature at all times. NADA on this car is $4,575 so there is enough room to take care of the few things this one needs and still get a great deal on a low mileage Jetta. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
