Before listing a vehicle on ebay, I personally test drive it so that I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based on my test drive. The information contained within this description is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic, nor do I possess the facility, equippment or training to give any information beyond what can be gathered during a test drive. Please read the entire description before bidding or asking questions. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1993 Cadillac Eldorado. This one is finished in a deep blue with gray leather interior. I would rate the exterior of this Caddy as AVERAGE. Other than some clear coat coming off of the drivers side of the roof, this car doesn't show badly at all! There is only a little bit of body rust at the bottom of the trunk lid and the tip of the hood. Neither spot is very noticable and does not take away from the good looks of this car. The alloy wheels are in good shape and the tires look to have decent tread left. All of the glass and lenses look to be in tact. Overall, this is a good looking older Eldorado. These are great cars to get out on the open road and cruise in. The interior of this Eldorado is in AVERAGE condition also. The gray leather seats are in excellent condition throughout and show no wear at all. The leather is still supple and supportive. Both seats are power operated. The drivers seat does not slide. The windows, locks and mirrors all work fine. The stereo is there but does not power up. I did not pull it out to see if it was hooked up. The trim piece is missing around it so maybe the old owner took their CD player out before trading it and didn't hook the factory one back up. That happens often. There is a warning light on for low refrigerant in the A/C and the fan makes a little noise on high. The climate control system is otherwise functional and responds to imputs as it should. I have driven this car several times and it is very comfortable to ride in. Mechanically, this Eldorado looks to be okay for the most part. The 4.9L engine starts right up and runs smoothly. I saw no evidence of any leaks and there is no smoke. The engine is smooth as silk and makes gobs of power. The "service ride control" indicator is on. On bad roads, you can feel that the suspension is a little loose. On the highway, this car is born to fly. The V8 engine accellerates this coupe to highway speeds without breaking a sweat! At speeds of 80+ mph, this Caddy drives strait as an arrow without even a hint of vibration. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts perfectly. The brakes stop the car easily and without any pulsation or sound. This car is definitely at home on the highway. The steering is nice and tight. If you're not a fan of the early Northstar engines, this is the one to have. With only 80k miles on the clock, this one is barely broken in and it shows in how it drives.
