I did some investigating and found that the fender has been painted and I called CarFax and was told that the mileage issue is very common for a vehicle of this age to have inconsistent odometer reporting. I bought the car as a 74,000 mile car. But I am not guaranteeing the mileage and it will be sold as exempt. The car is beautiful. It runs and drives and looks next to new.
