Vehicle Detail
This my 1970 Cougar XR7, it has drum brakes, powersteering, automatic, A/C. It has 351c with fmx transmission. The motor was rebuilt by previous owner, I just had the fmx rebuilt it was just taking awhile to warm up was the reason I had it rebuilt. The body is very straight, the paint is shiney ok for a driver or cruise in car. It does have chips that I have covered with touch up paint. It still looks very nice. The engine runs very good and the exhaust sounds great. The wheels are like new as are the tires. The interior is in near perfect shape, the dash has no cracks, the only thing you need is new carpet, but it is still ok for a driver. The only thing I have not gotten around to fixing is the speedometer cable[the gauge jumps around] and to have the clock rebuilt. The headlight doors work great, the turn signals work perfect the a/c is totally rebuilt. I would not worry about jumping in and driving this car anytime. The winning bidder can have either of the aircleaners that they like the best. The undercarriage and trunk are in very good shape, looks like someone patched the drivers side pan maybe from up above is very solid though. I might replace it sometime if I kept it I am kinda picky. The rest of the bottom side really nice. I am going to list what I have replaced since I have had the car at bottom of page. I need 1000.00 deposit by paypal and the rest by direct deposit, cash or cashier check. The car will not leave until funds clear my bank. new stuff: a/c compressor- condenser -expansion valve -a/c hoses -blower fan motor - headlight vacuum tank - solid state turn signal box - plug wires - solid state ignition- tuff stuff alternator -voltage regulator- fuel pump- tune up -aircleaner -transmission rebuild- assorted console parts-radiator hose -turn signal harness and assembley - lot of other stuff I can't think of . I did want to clarify that the paint is not perfect it is shiney but it does have chips that has been touched up it looks ok for driver not a show car. There is no rust on the body that I can see. It is not a perfect car but well worth the money .I have more in it than the price. On May-21-11 at 13:22:43 PDT, seller added the following information: I also wanted to mention to the winning bidder goes a brand new rear spoiler still in the box.On May-24-11 at 15:06:09 PDT, seller added the following information: I would consider a trade-in for a 1967-1973 mustang, or another cougar. I do have few pictures of the floor pans the boxes and trunk , if you want me to send them. please send me your email address.
