Vehicle Detail
1967 Pontiac GTO for parts. I’m of the opinion that, due to rust issues, this vehicle is a little too far gone to restore, at least for an amateur like myself. Perhaps if you own a shop it could make economic sense to do a complete restoration. With the exception of the drive train, most of the vehicle is “still there”. Originally a 400, manual 4 speed with 10 bolt positrac, all that’s left is the 10 bolt with its original 355 ratio. Manual steering and manual brakes. The engine and transmission are long gone. Under the hood sits a ’65 326, 225 HP in unknown condition. No transmission. This was a vinyl top car and the roof has rust holes (roof skins are now available from AMD). The following is a list of what I consider to be usable parts: Front clip to include fenders, inner fenders, hood, grille, headlight bezels (very nice), parking lights, and grille. The passenger fender has a slight dent. Passenger side grille has some foreign object damage (see pictures). Original big block radiator. Front sway bar and other front suspension. Wheel well moldings in good condition. Lower stainless trim on driver and passenger sides. Some of the pieces need dent removal. The GTO emblem is missing from the passenger side molding. Driver side mirror in good condition. Windshield, rear window, door glass, and quarter glass. The windshield shows wiper wear but all other glass is in good condition. Windshield and rear glass stainless trim in good condition. Vinyl top stainless trim in good condition. Drip rail stainless trim in good condition. GTO emblems on grille and quarter panels. Upper door and quarter stainless (or aluminum) trim. Back end stainless (or aluminum) trim. Tail lights in surprisingly good condition. Rear bumper for restoration (has dents shown in pictures). Passenger door in salvageable condition (driver side door has lower rust). Step plates in good condition. Front bucket and rear bench seats as cores for recovering. Interior door handles and window knobs for restoration. Dash and dash pad for restoration. Missing factory tach. Four speed console for restoration. Arm rests for restoration. Rear speaker switch. Original pushbutton radio for restoration. Original positrack rear end with 355 gear ratio. The frame has surface rust but I didn't notice any rust through spots. There may be other items that I failed to mention. If there's anything in particular you have a question about, please ask. The vehicle is located about 50 miles north of Dallas in Van Alstyne, TX. Loading assistance is available. There is no title, but one can be obtained for about $150 if desired. Bidders with zero feedback contact me before executing BIN or submitting an offer. I do have the PHS documents on this vehicle. Winning bidder must submit a Non-Refundable $500 Down Payment within 48 hours of the end of the auction via PayPal.
