You are bidding on a 1986 Fiat Bertone X 1/9. I bought this car last year from my 76 year-old father. This was his pride and joy. He drove it for pleasure and was fanatical about keeping it well maintained. When he decided to let it go, I decided I should purchase it to keep it in the family. I have enjoyed driving this car for fun and get a kick out of the looks I get from other drivers. Unfortunately, due to a health issue, I have decided that it would be best to sell this car to help defray some of my medical bills. It's hard to let it go, but since my father doesn't want it back and he gives his blessing to sell it, I'm hoping it will be purchased by someone else who will love it as much as we did. This car has 25,000 original miles and has been garage kept since new. As you can see in the pictures, this car is clean and worn very little. Everything works! This is a collector’s car, a classic car and an investment. The car you are bidding on is one of the few original good ones available.This Bertone Has: A 4 cylinder in-line Single Overhead Cam, 1500 cc engine An All Syncromesh, 5 speed manual transmission Electronic Fuel Injection 4 Wheel Fully Independent Suspension Direct Acting Rack and Pinion Steering Front and Rear disc brakes Original “Cromodora” Alloy Wheels Tires are in good shape Factory Air conditioning Factory right side mirror (rare)Factory Electric WindowsOriginal Spare TireNever has been smoked in Carpets on inside floor and both front and rear trunks are like new Original door panels with no wear or tears Original seats with no wear or tears No cracks or wear on the dashboard A new JVC AM/FM/CD Stereo with new stereo speakers. (I have the original “Unic” brand Cassette /AM/FM-MPX Clock radio and it will come with the car, along with it’s owner’s manual) I currently have this car insured with an Agreed Value/Total Replacement Insurance in the amount of $10,000 and suggest the new owner do the same. This car is being sold AS IS with no warranty. The car does not have the original paint. It had acid rain from sitting on the docks when it was shipped from Italy and before dad bought it. He had it painted. The Factory Air conditioning works, but could use a charge. There are minor paint chips on door edge and on bottom splash-guard. Very minor dent marks on the body.
