Vehicle Detail
This is my older brother's bike. He bought it five years ago from the original, elderly owner with very low mileage, and it has mainly sat in his garage ever since. Now in his early sixties himself, my brother doubts he will ever ride it, so has decided to sell. The pix may not do the bike justice, as I only wiped the dust off. Color is silver & cream. The original owner spent over $2000 in accessories, mainly "genuine Suzuki". The LC ("Limited Custom") 1500 comes stock as a large cruiser, but a plethora of factory accessories have made this one a tourer as well. Accessories include: Mustang seat, that matches all other leather on the bike (detachable saddlebags, tail-trunk, gas tank pouch, windshield pouch, driver & passenger backrests); driving lights; sissy bar; cargo rack; windshield with bottom extensions; hand-shields, crash-bars, and other miscellaneous bling. The bike still has the OEM exhaust, which is mellow but quiet enough to be easy on the ears. The OEM seat is also included in this sale. Of course, all accessories are easily removable. My brother is a craftsman, and also fitted a set of Harley fairing lowers on it, and had them painted to match. They are easily removable, and he did not modify the bike to mount them. The bike was recently serviced at a local Suzuki shop, which included a new battery and trickle charge outlet. Bike is located about 35 miles south of Louisville, and can be viewed in person during the auction. Shipping or local pickup is available, but you must make shipping arrangements. I am a Harley guy, but rode this bike 25 miles a last week. It rode like a new bike and cruised effortlessly, with plenty of power in a wide power band. Suzuki says the 89 cubic inch engine puts out "peak torque" at 2300 RPM. The windshield, hand-shields and fairing lowers provide excellent wind protection; the rider looks over the windshield, but is not blasted by wind in the face. Comparing this bike to a stock LC 1500 is like comparing a Harley Ultra-Glide to a Street-Glide. I would only recommend a new set of tires to the buyer, since it still has the originals, which are cracking. So, this is basically a near-new bike, with a ton of expensive accessories that make it as much a touring bike as a cruiser. It needs only a new owner to enjoy it. It is priced to sell.
