Before listing a vehicle on ebay, I personally drive it so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based on how it looks and drives. The information contained within this description is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic, nor do I possess the facility, equippment or training to offer a professional mechanical evaluation. Please read the entire description carefully before bidding or asking a question. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1996 Isuzu Trooper 4WD. This Trooper is finished in a nice dark red with charcoal interior and alloy wheels. I would rate the body of this Isuzu to be in AVERAGE condition. Expect to find a few scratches and scuff marks here and there like you would find on most older SUV's. Overall, this is a great looking truck. The paint shines up well from any angle. The alloy wheels give this truck a great look and you also get a matching spare. The tires are in fair condition (less than half tread). They ride well but should be replaced within the next year or so. All of the glass and lenses appear to be in tact. Although the body of this Trooper appears to be rust free, there is some moderate rust on the frame. I've seen much worse. Everything rides tight and it doesn't appear to be an immediate issue but there is more than your typical amount of rust under there. If you wanted to and had the time, an hour of sanding and some paint or undercoat would probably be well worth your efforts considering how great the rest of the truck looks and runs. All vehicles (trucks especially) develop surface rust on the exposed metal just from being out in the elements. Please see photos of underside. The interior of this Trooper is very clean. I would rate the interior of this truck as ABOVE AVERAGE. The seats are clean and show minimal wear. The carpets and headliner are in good condition, too. The door panels are in tact and all of the power features work as they should (power windows, locks and mirrors). The factory stereo sounds good. The climate control works as it should and the air conditioning is ice cold. I love Isuzu Troopers because they are so roomy. Especially for a guy like me (6'1"), its nice to actually have head room! The same applies to the cargo area. In addition to being large, they are very tall so you can fit tons and tons of stuff back there. The original retracting cargo cover is still there and the rear seats fold down for even more room! The back doors swing out for easy access. These are great, great trucks because they are so simple. Mechanically, this Trooper is...well...a tropper. The 3.2L engine starts right up and runs smoothly. I saw no leaks evident under this truck. I have driven this truck as my personal vehicle for almost a week before listing it. While driving, the engine maintains a nice, cool temperature and perfect oil pressure. The suspension and steering are very tight. The brakes will need replaced immediately. I think it's just the rears but assume you'll need new brakes all around. The clutch is easy to operate and does not slip. Gear changes are easy and smooth. There were no warning lights on. At highway speeds, this Trooper behaves very well. It will do 70+ without breaking a sweat. There is no pulling or vibration at any speed. This is a great looking, great running truck ready to give years of service.
