Vehicle Detail
Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I am a licensed wholesaler offering traded in and off lease vehicles directly to the public. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you thousands over what a dealer may ask for the same vehicle by eliminating most of the overhead expenses that they pass down to you. Before listing a vehicle on ebay, I personally drive each one so that I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based on what I could tell from driving is and should not be taken as a professional mechanical inspection. The information contained within this description is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic and do not possess the facilities, tools or training to perform a professional mechanical inspection. If you would like to inspect any vehicle in my inventory before bidding, just email me to set up a time to meet at my storage facility. You are encouraged to bring your mechanic, your cousin or anyone else you think could be usefull. Most who come to look at a car end up winning the auction or making an offer in person. An administrative fee of $99 will be added to the final bid of each auction. All vehicles are sold "as-is" and "as-traded". Unless specifically stated otherwise, I do not service or recondition any vehicle prior to selling it. Any known faults are fully disclosed. Please read the entire description carefully before bidding. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a nice looking 95 Ford Thunderbird LX. This one is nicely equipped and comes finished in dark green over tan leather interior with alloy wheels and rear spoiler. Overall, this is a good looking car for the year and miles. I would rate the exterior of this car as AVERAGE. The paint is a little faded (flat) on the portions that get the most sunlight. The spoiler has taken the most wear, as usual. Otherwise, the car shines pretty well. There is a dent on the drivers door (front) and a spot on the hood where it looks like something may have backed into it, exposing a small amount of metal causing a little surface rust where the paint isn't covering the metal any more. The tires are average. All of the glass and lenses are in tact. Like I said, it looks decent for the year and miles but is not perfect...not even close. It's a good ten footer (looks great until you're ten feet away and can see its age). The interior of this Thunderbird is pretty clean. The carpets are full and thick with no major stains beyond normal wear. The leather seats look good. There is some typical cracking on the drivers seat but the rest look okay. This car is very comfortable to drive in and there is decent room for rear passengers compared to most coupe's. The headliner is loose in the rear but doesn't hang down that badly. The stereo is the original Ford set up and actually sounds really good. The climate control is automatic (which was optional) and functions as it should. The air conditioner blows cold. The trunk is very good size and is nice and clean. The power windows, locks, mirrors and drivers seat all work as they should. Again, this is a very comfortable car to drive. The original owners manuals are included in their original booklet. Mechanically, I would say this Thunderbird is in AVERAGE condition. The powerfull 4.6L engine starts right up and runs smoothly. I noticed that it smokes a little until it gets warm. I didn't notice it while driving or once the car was good and warm. It holds great oil pressure and the engine temperature stays at a nice, steady and cool temp while driving and idling. There were no warning lights on. With the optional V8, accelleration is a breeze. The engine makes good power and pulls strongly. I saw no leaks evident on this vehicle. The steering is nice and tight. The brakes feel strong and stop the car with no pulsation in the pedal. The suspension is very tight with the exception of the right strut. I don't think its a ball joint or anything on the lower end. It feels a little loose up top so I would guess the strut bushing or the strut itself may need replaced. On the open road, it drives at 70 + with ease. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts fine. It is PA inspected through the end of September of this year. The miles are approaching the high side but the 4.6L SOHC is a good motor (used in Police cars, Mustang GT's, SUV's and trucks). I would hop in this car and drive without a second thought. It would make a good, inexpensive car to get around in whether you work accross town or accross the county. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
