Up for sale is a really rare 1969 Ranchero Rio Grande edition. Car was ordered with a ton of options/ 390-4v engine But now has 69 351w c-6 Cruise-o-matic black bench seat with headrests black vinyl roof rim blow deluxe steering wheel Note has been removed Power front disc brakes Power steering Air conditioner-selectaire am/fm radio Note has been removed sun x tinted glass-complete special paint 9in rear end magnum 500 wheels- removed ram air hood sport mirrors ds only left Their were only 816 Rio Grande Rancheros ever built and this includes any motor transmission combination. So as you know the best you could get would have been an "S" code! Car does run The carb is a little funny flat spot. Rear main seal needs replaced, Disc brakes are all rebuilt, power steering leaks but I have a new control valve for it. No Rust! Drivers side fender has a dent, tail gate has a dent, interior is good dash pad it mint, Has factory bench with headrests good shape. Picture of seat with head rest is in another car but is included in the auction as is the door panels because these were the orig one that were in the rio grande when bought and were switched into another car. Also not pictured is the d/s sport mirror it is also included. I have had many questions on this car, to answer them: Was bought from the orignal owners nephew, he tells me that his uncle used to be a big time racer back in the late 60's early 70's racing mustangs and won many events, that is where this rio grande came into to play he actually ordered 2 of them this one and another with a 351w (I still have but it was the parts hauler back in the day so it not as nice:( The brakes have been gone through he also says the radiator is cleaned out (factory big block) electrical was revamped new altnator ext. The gas gauge is on the frits, speedo has lots of play, tires hold air but wouldnt drive too far. Also have the factory blacked out cobra jet style grille that came on the car with bezels. Head liner is fallin down, hood scoop is great with working turn lights. Again No rust through that I can find has a cheap old respray that is flakin off. Will try to find the build sheet for the car and hopfully the factory 390 air cleaner set up, if not will include the factory 351w 69-70 air cleaner. I forgot to mention that I have the owners manual, air condition mounting bracket, a/c compressor, set of wheel well mouldings, one kick panel speaker grill (rare) also have the other rear side reflector, and horn pad. Also many questions regarding the seat and door panels, the seat and door panels were put in the 351 car so if the 390 car sells I will swap them back so this car will have the correct original gt door panels and head rest bench seat that is pictured. I was told that the early production 69 rio grandes were based on the GT model but than were changed to the 500 trim, this one has all the GT options including door panels and grille. Also found out only 2 colors were really made grabber white, and calipso corral. Right now on ebay is a set of the correct wheel center caps, so the only other hard item to complete this car would be the bed rails.
