Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE I have owned this Jeep since 2003 when I bought it used at a dealership in NJ. I have put all but the first 44,000 miles on it. Have changed ths transmission fluid religiously. Here is what you need to know about this vehicle: I had an car audio shop put a 10 inch subwoofer in the passenger side quarter panel and carpeted over it. It also has a metal screen beneath the carpet to protect the subwoofer. There is a Memphis PR 50Wx2 under the rear seat that was installed by the same stereo shop to drive the subwoofer. I have only had one set of tires on it since I bought the car. I bought a set of 4 BFG All-Terrain TA tires (P235/75-R15) and they have lasted 100,000 miles. The Jeep still tracks straight. Also has Husky liners throughout. Here is the bad: -Was in an accident in 2003. Vehicle was operable after the crash. Hydroplaned and skidded along a concrete divider on the driver's side. Jeep was professionally repainted at an auto body shop in New Jersey. I never had the "Cherokee Sport" letters placed back on that side of the Jeep. -Automatic door lock on passenger side intermittently works. -Tires are bald. Got a 100,000 miles out of them though so they should be. -Needs a new clock spring (wiring harness). My current clock spring has been going out for a year now and now the Airbag light stays on all the time and the horn will not operate. -Had to remove a section of carpet from floor in passenger side rear floor well. Someone spilled soda that would not come out. It is covered up completely by the Husky liner. I have a picture of the damage in the photos. -Needs a new AC compressor or an AC bypass pulley. The bearings are going in the AC compressor and it makes a squalling noise now. This is a simple fix for a mechanic (the AC compressor wouldn't be cheap, but you can buy an AC bypass pulley at Autozone - I think). -Passenger side door bottom is rusting. I think the drain holes are plugged with rust. Please see the attached photo. -Right before I placed this posting someone backed into the driver’s side rear wheel well while I wasn’t home. I posted a picture of that. Not cool, but the damage isn’t too bad. -The Thule bike racks don’t come with it. I am going to remove them and use them on another car.
