Vehicle Detail

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I am a licensed wholesaler offering traded in and off lease vehicles directly to the public. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you thousands over what a dealer would ask because I eliminate most of the overhead expenses that they pass down to you. Before listing a vehicle on ebay, I personally test drive each one so that I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this car based on how it drives and should not be taken as a review from a professional mechanic. The information contained within this description is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. I am more than happy to make this or any vehicle available for inspection by any potentiol buyer, their mechanic or anyone else you'd like to bring. Just email me to set a mutual time to meet at my warehouse. An administrative fee of $99 will be added to the final bid of each auction. All vehicles are sold "as-is" and "as-traded". Unless specifically stated otherwise, I do not service or recondition any vehicle. Any known defects are fully disclosed. Please read the entire description and review all photos carefully before bidding. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is an exceptional 1996 Volvo 850 Wagon. What makes this Volvo exceptional is that it has been driven only 51,000 miles! Finished in a deep red with tan interior, this is a great looking Volvo. I would rate the exterior of this Volvo as AVERAGE for a 50k mile car. There are a few touch up marks and scratches here and there but nothing bad. The paint has a nice shine from any angle. This 850 has alloy wheels wrapped in nice tires with good tread all around. Overall this is a great looking Volvo with very low miles. The only complaint I have is that there is a problem with the hood latch cable. I closed the hood tight to take it out on the highway but now I can't get it open...hence no photo. The engine bay is very clean. I won't say it's perfect, but this is definitely one of the nicest 850's I've seen in a while and definitely the lowest mile one I've seen in years. The interior of this Volvo is very clean and original. I would rate the inerior of this car as ABOVE AVERAGE. The carpets are clean and full throughout. The headliner is clean and tight. The seats are all clean and supportive and show no wear. This 850 is equipped with the "winter package" which mainly gives you heated front seats and headlight washers. The power windows, locks and mirrors all work as they should. The original factory stereo system sounds excellent. The climate control system is functioning as it should but the A/C isn't very cold. The original owners manuals are still in the factory suede portfolio and are included with the car. Even the cargo area is clean... Mechanically, this Volvo is in good condition. The 2.4L inline 5 cylinder starts right up and runs smoothly. The older 5 cylinder Volvo's have a bit of a raspy exhaust note normally but this one seems just a hair louder than usual. There may be a small hole in the tail pipe or muffler. I saw no leaks from this vehicle as it idled in my warehouse. The engine makes good power and is one of my favorites. It doesn't make quite the power of the turbocharged version but the upside is that you don't have to worry about spending a small fortune to replace the turbo once it goes out. If it's not there to break, you'll never have to fix it... The first Volvo I ever bought was a wagon for my wife with this engine. We kept it for years and it treated us very well. On the road, it drives very well. While driving on the highway and around town, the engine keeps a nice, steady temperature. It drives nice and strait with no pulling. The suspension and steering feel good. I drove this car home in a horrible downpour and it did very well and was nice and confident even in bad weather. The brakes stop the car well. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts like it should. There is an ABS light on, which is common. From my experience, there is a little box under the hood that triggers this light. The box is cheap and easy to replace and usually cures the light. Of course, a number of things could trigger an ABS light. The car drives fine, though. My favorite thing about Volvo's is that they are very reasonable to work on...even at the dealership. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
