I am forced to relist this bike because the first winning bidder changed his mind, which I learned only by pushing him for a response to why he hadn't come to pick it up. If you are not a serious bidder with a commitment to owning an example of fine German engineering, please look elsewhere and don't tie up the bidding process. Also, no lowballers, please; this bike is too fine to be given away for a song. For those of you who remain, here is an opportunity to own an extremely clean, well maintained, low mileage sport-touring BMW ready to ride home. If there is a finer example of this model anywhere else, I would be greatly surprised. One owner since 2002. New tires, battery and saddlebags in 2008. It has only been adult-ridden and has never been abused. It has never been down, there are no scratches or dents, and there have been no accidents with it. Each fall it had an oil and filter change, the fuel was stabilized, and the battery was maintained over the winter with a tender. All scheduled maintenance has been done by a very fine local BMW dealership. Standard features with this year's model include adjustable rider seat height, integrated bag attachment points, handgrip warmers, Anti-Lock Brakes, and a gauge package of digital clock, oil temp., fuel level, and gear selected. There is no cruise control. I intended to keep it until I could no longer ride, but unfortunately my wrists and knees get sore after about a half hour in this sporty riding position. This is a phenomenal younger person's bike!
