Vehicle Detail
This 1990 Eldorado is in amazing condition for a 21-year-old car. It has only had 2 owners. The body is EXCELLENT and the blue Sapphire metallic paint shines like a mirror. The interior is also in great condition. The motor is in very good condition with very high compression and is very mechanically sound with only 117,000 miles and the tires are like new. The car is also equipped with a Kenwood Z727 AM/FM/CD receiver that has a high-resolution 3-D FL display. The Z727 is CD-R/CD-RW and blue tooth compatible and includes System Q Sound Control. This receiver is Sirius satellite radio-ready, a Sirius-compatible antenna is included in order to receive the digital satellite radio signal and it sounds great. The monitor has several different modes. One is the AM/FM/CD, one says TV and one says this is a Kenwood demonstration. Formula One racing the monitor then shows racing then it says cup yacht racing and so on and lots of other stuff. I don’t have a manual for it. I don’t understand it and I don’t know what the unit is capable of. I was going to use the car for a daily driver and it ran great when I first bought it. Then my wife’s father passed away and he left her a newer Toyota that gets 38 miles-per-gallon, so we kept that instead. I let the Cadillac sit in the garage for a long time without starting it. When I finally decided to sell it, it was idling rough and ran sluggish from sitting so long. I replaced the air filter, fuel filter, plugs, wires, rotor and distributor cap. Come to find out the fuel injectors are gummed-up. I put in some fresh high-octane gas and drove the car around the block several times and the car has improved. It’s idling much better and the power has increased. It’s not quite there, yet. You still have to let it warm up a little. Probably a good run down the interstate would do the trick. The car is no longer registered or insured so I can’t do that. The only other issue that the car has, that I know of, is there is a rattle noise coming from the right front end when the car is barely moving, when you move a little faster the sound stops. A bushing needs to be replaced. The reserve price is $1,250, which is very reasonable for this car in this clean condition. If the car didn’t have the few minor issues, it would be worth at least twice that much, as I’m sure you have noticed, if you have been watching these Eldorado auctions. So, it will make someone a great deal. Thanks for looking!
