The original 371 motor was professionally rebuilt 10 months ago and it runs like a champ. I have the receipts for the rebuild. I have owned the car for over 10 years. The seats and carpet are in good condition with no rips or tears. The car has power steering but no power brakes. The glass is in good condition except for the passenger side front and rear door glass. They both have cracks, but the local glass company said they could replace them for around $100.00. The paint cleans up nicely but if you want to take the car to Hot August Nights or other car shows it could probably use a paint job. This Oldsmobile is in good overall condition and would make a nice daily driver while working on the restoration. It does have imperfections, but that should be expected from a car that is 54 years old and has never been fully restored. I know old cars enough to recogonize good bones and a great starter car for a full restoration project. It is almost all original. If you have the time and patience this car would be worth the money and effort in the long run. When driven there is no lack of compliments for the car. Even being a 4-door sedan and not fully restored, it still catches everyones eye. The car is beautiful, unique and is a refreshing change from the all to familiar 2-door 57 chevy population.
