Vehicle Detail
This car right now has exactly 2136 miles on it. It will be driven to around the 2200 mile mark or less before delivery. This 2009 Bullitt was a late run of the 08' 40th anniversary edition of the Movie "BULLITT" staring Steve McQueen. Therefore it is one of the last of the 7700 Bullitts manufactured for the fortieth anniversary, so it's newer than most other Bullitt's. There is a lot to list, but I'll start with the transferable warranties. Not only is there 33,800 miles left of the factory warranty, there is also a transferable set of warranties. They are ESP which is an extended bumper to bumper warranty. Anything goes wrong, any Ford dealership will repair with a small deductable. There is the Service warranty which provides for all scheduled services from oil changes to 10k, 30k, 60k and 100k major services. Finally there is a Road Hazard warranty transferable for $25 that covers the tires and wheels for five years, same length of time as the others, with about 3yrs 8 months left These warranties cost about $4000.00 at the time of purchase and are transferable for a $50 one time fee. Poweer upgrades start at the factory with 90mm cold air kit, performance oil filter, 4.10:1 ratio ring and pinion with a 373 rear end, shorty headers, super short throw Hurst shift designed by Ford racing, Dampers Lower springs, Stabilizer bars and strut tower brace. This HIGLAND GREEN Bullitt was purchased with the intention of keeping it forever, or until it was an "antique", whichever came first, so it has been babied, garage kept, had two oil changes and been driven a few miles every month to keep it in good shape. A recent service indicated all systems were like new. The climate controlled environment it is kept in has kept that "new car smell" intact, and there are even some plastic cover strips left from the manufacturer for protection, particularly over the billet aluminum "BULLITT" kick plates on the rocker panels...see photos. Of the 2200 miles on it, 480 of those are highway only miles from a round trip taken to "break it in" back in 09'. I have added some performance upgrades as well as a bunch of Billit aluminum hop ups. For instance, note the Pony Emblem valve cover under the strut tower brace in the engine compartment. You won't find that on any other Bullitt. Then there are the blue anodized aluminum bolt covers over all five bolts on each strut tower. I removed the stock pipes from the Bullitt, and replaced them them with "straight H" dual pipes and Flowmaster "Catback" mufflers that end in 4" Stainless steel tips instead of the stock 3" ones. Also installed are o2 simulators to avoid check engine light and maintain performance. This straight flow exhaust boosted the stock HP from 315 to 375 or so. The vehicle still gets up to 23 mpg on the highway when driven "nicely", but when you put the pedal down she literally screams! THIS CAR IS LOUD! Inside the car there are Charcoal Grey Leather seats, am/fm CD with Satelite radio and Aux. plug. It has the Shaker 500 audiophile stereo system. The Hurst 5 speed shifter and Bullitt shift knob are really nice with a super short throw between gears. The "my colors" feature allows you to change the color of the dashboard light when the headlights are on, (multiple combinations) otherwise during the day the dials are lit bright white. There is also a buttun next to the cup holders that changes the color of the accent lights that shine down on all four foot wels inside, pretty cool. I've added some Bullitt Billet aluminum like for the seat controls and the drink holders and have also added aluminum billet floor mats, The drivers side with a mag light and the passenger side with a fire extinquisher. The original floor mats are still packaged and brand new in the trunk, along with a nice car cover in a stuff bag. The active alarm from the factory not only locks down the vehicle if broken into, but also has a loud external alarm that will scare off all but the most determined car thiefs. It has pressure sensors mounted near the dome lights that detect broken windows, illegal towing, etc., and once activated the car will only run with the computer chipped key from the factory. BTW, there are three sets of keys with 2 remotes and there is a black key pad coded for entry on the drivers door outside I added for easy keyless entry, included is a paintable cover for this keypad, still in original wrapper. There are two sets of manuals and books, one still in the wrapper from Ford, one in the glove box for when/if it's needed. There is a New in Package 3" carbon fiber antena for a neat low profile look that hasn't been installed, as well as the original stock antena which is still on the car. Not a single scratch or blemish inside or outside this sharp ride. This is a brand new vehicle folks, your satisfaction is gauranteed. The high performance parts installed by Ford Racing include heavy duty carbon brake shoes and heavy duty calipers, high performance suspension, low air sensors for the wheels, Cold air intake for the engine as well as a K&N filter. The only pony emblems on this car on on the wheels center caps. No fog lights and a plain grill give it a killer look, like no other Mustang...and remember, this is the last year the 05" body style was made, a true retro body, and much sharper that the 2010-on models.
