Vehicle Detail

This 1998 Beetle has 54k miles on it. I am selling this car as a parts car ONLY. It does run and drive but CANNOT be titled or registered. I purchased this car from a dishonest ebay seller over 6 years ago, who told me that I would be able to title and register the car after some repairs were made. The car was hit in the front, and after the necessary frame work was done, I tried registering the car @ the DMV only to find out that it CANNOT be registered. The paperwork that I have is a Texas Department of Transportation CERTIFICATE OF AUTHORITY. On this certificate of authority, and under that labeling it says in fine print TO DISPOSE OF MOTOR VEHICLE TO A DEMOLISHER FOR DEMOLISHING, WRECKING OR DISMANTLING ONLY. This certificate was issued by Copart Auto Auction from ALLSTATE insurance in Amarillo,TX. I also have some kind of Oregon DMV paperwork that will come with the car that I received from the guy I purchased the car from. PLEASE, DO NOT bid on this auction in hopes to buy a cheap car to register and drive; again the car DOES run and drive, but, as I said in the opening statement of the description I am selling this car as a parts car ONLY. The car has a good running, low mileage motor. There are no tears or rips in the interior and no cracks on the dash and no tears in the seats. The upper rubberized plastic portion of the door has some scratches but are not bad at all. The inner liner, or plastic cowling (thin black plastic liner) above the two front tires is not in a great shape. The passenger window motor works but the pulley cable system slipped off of the rails thus making it inoperable. The car is missing the radiator fan shroud and fans. Also, the hood is rusted. I purchased the hood from a parts distributor in Las Vegas, it came primed and not painted. After I found out that I cannot register the car, I didn't bother investing more money into the car to paint the hood. The car's battery could probably be recharged with a slow trickle charger. I would be happy to assist in any way possible with the shipping arrangements. As terms of payment, I require a $500 deposit to be made within 48 hours of the auction's end. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. If you have any questions I would be happy to address any that you may have concerning this car or it's history. Happy bidding and may God bless you. P.S. I had to re-list this car because the "other" description on the title field disqualified the vehicle for an auction listing. I had to re list as showing a "salvage" title. However, THERE IS ONLY A Texas Department of Transportation CERTIFICATE OF AUTHORITY as title, with this vehicle and a bill of sale as a parts car. My apologies for those of you bidding on the car. Thanks.
