1956 GMC Pick Up Rolling Chassis – ”Rolling Chassis” Frame Project Vehicle Description: (For more pictures, please send request via e-mail.) Request via your e-mail; I will e-mail 1.2Mp pictures directly to your e-mail): paul8851@juno.com You are looking at a disassembled project 1956 GMC, Model 100, Pick Up w/ short bed, big window, stock 270 engine, stock 4-speed. Unfortunately, after over nineteen (19) years, I am not able to finish this truck rebuild project. I want someone with the interest and time to complete the truck or turn it into their dream pick up truck project. My loss will be his/her/their gain. I drove this truck for two (2) years before parking it in 1993 and taking on a new job that required a lot of travel for the next eleven (11) years. It was put on a trailer and moved to Tennessee in 2003 and then stored in a garage.I will try to describe the truck condition as best I can. I purchased the vehicle for $1,595 with the intention of making it into a semi-stock, daily-driver pick up truck and have put in over $2,000 into parts rebuilding the “rolling chassis” frame. The remaining truck parts / panels are in boxes. Frame: Rebuilt “rolling chassis” frame includes: Frame needs to be cleaned and painted satin black (cleaned in 1991); Rebuilt shocks and leaf springs – front & back with new hardware; Rebuilt / repacked spindles/bearings; Rebuilt drum brakes (front and rear); Resides on six-lug temporary spares. Body: N/A. The body (cab) has been completely removed and has been sold. Glass: Windshield and rear window were salvaged and are in good shape. Interior: N/A Engine/ Transmission: Original 270 cu. in. engine ran fine before removal of body from truck. It was drained of coolant and the cylinders were filled with 30 wt. Oil. The plan was to have it rebuilt to new condition as a semi-stock Pick Up. Brakes: New brake lines need to be installed. Old lines have Silicon fluid. Fuel Line: New gas tank is needed. New fuel lines need to be installed. Wiring: Truck will need complete new wiring through out the vehicle. Extra Stuff Included: N/A with this listing. E-mail for pictures of extra stuff: paul8851@juno.com Original North Carolina Motor Vehicle Title is clear and will be provided to the new owner(s). It was used for light furniture delivery by a furniture store for about forty (40) years. It was then used by the furniture store owner's son briefly. I purchased it, had it professionally restored, and the drove it for two (2) years before parking it for a future full restoration. 1956 GMC Short Bed, Step-Side, Pick Up Truck (w/Big Rear Window) Name: THE GMC ROLLING-FRAME PROJECT Mileage: 108,??? miles Location: Loudon County, Tennessee Vehicle Information: Model 100 VIN: C1545Z177141 Inspection: Available Warranty: No Vehicle title: Clear Condition: Used For sale by: Private seller Features: Chassis partially restored in 1991 Body type: Pickup truck Engine: 6 Cylinder (270 cu. in.)
