Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my only Automatic Del Sol. We are selling because we just have too many cars. I have this 1993 Del Sol SI, I have a 1993 Samba Green 5SPD Si, a 1997 Vtec model with a Gsr engine swap, a 1998 Civic Lx, and I just picked up a 5sp 1989 Chevy Sprint Turbo in addition to my Honda VFR 800 motorcycle. I don't have time to drive all of the cars that I own so I have decided to sell the only Automatic Del Sol that we have. This car is fresh from a trip to Las Vegas as we participated in the Team So-cal Annual Del Sol Vegas Invasion. This car didn't burn a drop of oil during our 4,500 mile round trip, and we won the award for furthest distance traveled (pictured below). This car runs and drives excellent. We are the third owners, we bought this from a family member several years ago for my girlfriend, she wanted a bigger car so we got here the Civic LX recently and I have been driving it around. The Del Sol has a clean, clear title. The car runs excellent but cosmetically it does suffer from the typical Honda rust, we also had a family member who volunteered to fix the rust but after we saw that he used some sort of adhesive on the rear bumper we decided that he didn't know what he was doing, this is pictured, it looks like glue but is not noticeable unless you are starring at the rear bumper. Also there are two spots on the rear bumper where the paint is peeling, this has been pictured as well. I have done my best to try and highlight the rust and major dings, the car still looks good and I get a lot of compliments on it but please keep in mind that it is an older mid-west winter driven car. There is clear coat peal on the hood, right above the windshield, on the targa top, there is rust on the rear quarters on right above the bumper. I am a teacher and the kids at my school love this car. The interior on this car is about as mint as you are going to get for a car this old, there is a small tear on the driver side vinyl, but both of the factory Del Sol zig zag blue floor mats are included (very rare), the rear storage works like new and looks new, and the seats do not have any tears in the sides like most do, this is due to the fact that it was driven by petite females for the last 16 years. Since we have owned it we have put a lot of money into it to keep it running good. I have receipts for a new exhaust manifold and o2 sensor from Midas which was done 03/20/2008, new water pump 02/19/2008, new thermostat and coolant both Honda oem 01/04/2010, within the last year I have put on new spark plug wires, NGK iridium spark plugs, new distributor cap and rotor, we had new brake pads, rotors and 2 calipers done about 7 months ago for $700, before we drove out to Vegas I had the transmission fluid flushed and replaced with Honda OEM ATF. There is aftermarket Pioneer speakers in the back and front and a newish Pioneer MP3 CD unit with auxiliary input in the car, speakers and Cd player sound great. I am sure that there are several other things that I am forgetting. While driving out to Vegas we averaged 36MPG with a trunk full of stuff, my dad (270 lbs), and myself (200 lbs), I believe that if we would have lost some weight before that 38 MPG's would have been achievable. The top comes off and stores in the trunk, everything on the car works Cruise, power steering, windows, all lights in the instrument cluster, all bulbs have been replaced within the last two years, the shocks and struts were replaced by my aunt before we bought the car from her at around 120,000 miles, ac works but needs a recharge, heat is awesome, one tire is new and does not match the other three, we got a flat and bought a Fuzion HRI tire 185/60/14. The exhaust is also about a year old with a brand new muffeler, the old one got a hole in it so I had a new one put on before we drove out to Vegas. Oil changes every 3,500 miles with Mobil 1 5w30 Synthetic. This car has been loved and in return has loved us back. This has been a great, fun little reliable car for us. But alas it is time to part. As stated the car runs awesome and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere, I just drove it 4K+ miles and it didn't hesitate or leave us stranded once. The only things that the car could use is a new fuel filter as I am unsure as to the last time it was changed, this is not needed but I like to stay on a 100,000 schedule filter change, and it needs a new cv boot as one of the axles clicks during extreme turns. The car is located in Nothwest Indiana zip 46403, it is not that far away from Chicago, I have a home in Kane County zip 60118 and in Galena, IL, so after you make the deposit we can arrange pickup in one of those locations. The car as of this listing has 202,576 miles on it, I am still driving it and the vehicle is for sale locally so the miles we go up a little. Also if the vehicle is sold locally I reserve the right to end early. Vehicle is sold as with no warranties or guarantess neither expressed or implied. Pick up only I do not want to ship, please fire away with any and all questions. I can send additional pics if requested. This is the perfect car for the summer, drop the top and pass by the pump when gas hits $5, this car always gets 28-34 mpgs, regardless of city or highway. Happy bidding and good luck. ( Please note the aftermaket wheels in some of the pictures are not included, the clear ameripool top is not included, the strut bar in the engine bay has been removed and is not inlcuded. The picture of me in front of the car with the crazy brake pad, cluch thing is a picture of me and my trophy for longest distance. Also no tumbleweeds were hurt in the making of this listing.) I also have a Carfax report that I can give you to verify that this is three owner car, with no accidents. $500 deposit due within 24 hours car must be picked up within 7 days of auction end. Please no deadbeats :-) (Also this car has an Autocheck score of 44, there are only two cars with higher scores on ebay right now one is going for $5,000 and the other which is only two points higer at a 46 is going for $12,000+)
