1982 Honda Magna

1982 Honda V-45 Magna. I have ridden this bike for three seasons. It has a few small dents, some paint chips, and a split on the upper side of the back rest cover. It is the original purple color (my son says blue) and as I like to say "the first of the best" being the first year of production for the Magnas with the 750 and its great idle sound. When I bought it the previous owner had flushed the radiator, changed all fluids, filters, fork seals, rear tire, brake pads, recovered the seat, and adjusted the valves. I originally paid $1100 for the bike and added a fuel sending unit, brake and clutch handles, speedo cable, rear turn signal stems, mirrors, hand grips, a 150 mph speedometer, battery, new fuel tank to reserve tank hose, and $250 Dave Dodge oil modification kit (see braided steel lines in picture). The original speedometer reads 27065 and the installed speedo reads 24739 of which I probably didn't put more than 500 miles on it. I have stored it during the winter with fuel addative. It has Mobile 1 synthetic oil and Fram tough guard filter. Comes with sissy bar and six pack rack. Also included is the "official" Honda shop manual and I should have some spare parts somewhere. Original front tire, back tire is decent. Sold AS IS no warranty expressed or implied. I feel I got to the point where I new the bike was reliable but have moved on so its up for sale. I had listed this bike over a year ago. The bid went to a little over $1900 and the buyer said he pushed the wrong button and couldn't retract his bid as I heard his wife in the background telling him what to say. Please be sure all purchases are authorized through "the boss" and realize this is not a $300 dollar barn find or a $10,000 Harley. It is a collectable Magna and priced as such. An ebay member sugjested I explain the oil modification. It re-routes freshly filtered oil direct to the valve rocker arm area.
