1955 Chevy Bel Air 2 Door Hardtop!!! LOW RESERVE You are viewing a 1955 Chevrolet 2 door hardtop Bel Air, 327 Vette motor, 350 Turbo trans. Original red on gray Bel Air. This car was a frame off restored show car in 1991 and still looks great. The body is rock solid withonly a few minor bubbles in the door bottoms (see pics), originally from Alabama. The car is arrow straight and the paint still looks good, but the clearcoat is lifting in spots. The undercarriage looks very nice, the floors, trunk, and frame are extremely nice. The suspension is tight and the car goes down the road exceptionally well. The 327 and trans run smooth and the exhaust, brakes, tires etc... all function properly. This car could be driven most likely anywhere safely. The interior is immaculate and top quality. The trunk is detailed to match. The weatherstripping is still soft. All the glass is near perfect. The chrome is very nice, minor pitting on some of the pot metal and could use a front bumper, but still 95% perfect chrome. There is a big reproduction market for these cars now and parts are inexpensive. All in all this is a real head turner, drive it the way it is and be the envy of the neighborhood or spend a few bucks and have a very high dollar car.
