Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my clear titled 1969 Chevrolet Camaro X11. I'm not 100% sure the car is a SS model. I have found differing opinions on whether it is or not. But it has drum front brakes and 69 SS Camaros came with front disc brakes. And with the original engine being gone I have to say it's a SS clone. Now I will tell you what i am 100% sure of. I've owned the car since 1998. It was my daily driver until 2003 when the rear end gave up the ghost. I have pulled the rear end apart and the spider gears have come apart, so the rear end needs replaced. No great loss since it was a 10 bolt limited slip 3.08. That being said the car must be trailered. Stuck in the middle of a divorce the car was parked, and has since just been moved via rollback to my new residence. I've held onto it hoping to restore it, but i've finally realized thats just not going to happen. I have too many projects and too little time, so here we go. The car is a 1969 Camaro, X11, originally a 4 speed, V8 car, i believe hugger orange was the original paint on the car, and it had a black vinyl top. I have removed the engine and tranny from the car, so you are bidding on a rolling chassis. Engine and tranny ARE NOT included. The weld wheels on the car DO NOT go with it. The four spare doughnut tires you see behind the car in the pics are the wheels and tires that will be on it when you pick it up. The body of the car has it's fair share of deterioration thanks to mother nature and time. I have tried to make sure the condition of the car can clearly be seen in the pics. And I have taken close ups of the spots where the cancer has become the worst. The interior of the car is in decent shape. All of the glass in the car is intact. The windshield is beginning to turn white though and will probably need replaced. Somewhere in it's lifetime someone has thrown a good bit of bondo at the rear of the car. I don't know if it was wrecked or what happened, but the drivers rear quarter had been replaced and the rear valance of the car has plenty of bondo in it. That being said, I'm not sure that it really matters now, because all of it needs replaced due to rusting. I'd say the fenders and doors are saveable, but the rear quarters, rear tail valance panel, and decklid are junk. One rear shock tower is good and the other is beginning to rot. Both floor pans are mostly intact, but once again have been patched previously at sometime in the cars life. Also included are the 1 7/8 Hedman headers and flowmaster exhaust I installed back when I was driving the car. The original transmission crossmember, and a driveshaft that I had made for the car are not in the pictures, but will be included with the car. I replace the fuel tank and sending unit back in 1999 when I was driving her, so they are in good shape. Someone replaced the steering column, I'm guessing to give the car power steering. The steering column they installed was from an automatic car so it has the set up for an automatic column shifter. It has never been hooked up though, the car has had the B&M floor shifter in it since I've had it and who knows how long before me. I had the engine and tranny I built for the car in it until a few weeks ago on Good Friday. I usually started the car every month or so, so I can say that all of the wiring is still intact and all of the lights, signals, and switches were still working. I tried her out one last time before i pulled everything out. Even though she won't roll under her own power. I wanted to hear her run one more time. I have a clean Ohio title for the car ready for it's next owner. Local pick up only. If you are going to need the car shipped, shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer. Take a look at the pics. What you see is what you get, minus the weld wheels. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. I will answer them to the best of my ability. You can contact me via ebay or at 740-533-7329. There is no reserve so you decide the price of the car. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
