I have a 1971 Volvo 144 Sedan that I would like to go to a good home. The car has a solid body and all the glass is good. The interior is fair for the age of the car. The B20 engine starts . I never registered this vehicle and my intent was to restore it myself, but time went by and this never happened. The paint is in pretty good shape. Here is what I determined the car will definitely need. A new muffler and pipe. Brakes are pretty rusty so the car will probably need new rotors, or at least have the rotors resurfaced. You will need a new battery. You will need to tune the dual carbs. Probably an oil change . You will need to shampoo the interior. I live in a wooded area and there are sometimes small critters like chipmunks or mice getting into my cars. This is definitely a good restore vehicle. If you decide to part it out, you will make a couple thousand off of the parts alone. I do not have a title. I never got one from the previous owner. In Connecticut, you don't need a title for a car of this age. I am located in Colebrook Ct. This car will be trailered or towed at the owners expense. A 20% deposit will be required within 48 hours and the balance when you come to get it. I really want this restored, so all you vintage Volvo fans take notice and refer this to anyone who you might think will bring this back to roadworthy condition. Please email me with any questions. The floor pans are good, the wheels move . I have had the car about ten years. I bought it in Providence RI. It has a solid body. the rockers are good.These cars are tanks as you all know and the doors have that solid "VOLVO 140 Clunk" when you shut them. Not like a tin can! This is not driveable currently as stated. It is a 40 year old car that is STILL a viable project that will make a great runner when completed with the required work. the buyer will obviously have work to do. Someone with an adequate garage and mechanical skills. I have neither unfortunately. Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have. Thanks!
