1930 Ford Sedan “Highboy HEMI” Up for auction is a 1930 Ford Sedan, 50’s style hotrod. The car is completely fresh including new paint, pin striping, interior and glass. The body is chopped 4” and painted satin Nurture Green and has an original style long grain black vinyl top. The firewall, dash, steering column and wheel, shocks and garnish moldings are painted satin Heirloom White. The chassis is painted satin Black. Pin striping was done by Donny Blade. All windows and windshield are new Coke bottle green glass. All new door hardware, window mechanisms, window cranks, door openers, window felt and glass rubber throughout. The interior is sand and bone colored and is all new. The headliner, carpet, kicks panels, roll-n-pleat door/rear panels and roll-n-pleat bench seat are all new and all garnish moldings are original 1930 Ford and are painted satin Heirloom White. The original gas tank has been removed to allow room for a one off custom recessed steel dash that houses a set of Stewart Warner Wings gauges. Voltage, Oil, Water & Fuel all work except fuel. The fuel gauge is a drilled gravity tube located directly behind the passenger. F-100 steering box and column. 59 Olds steering wheel with chrome bullet center. Chrome Signal Stat style turn signal mounted to column. Shifter is powdercoated and topped off with a 1942 6oz Coke Bottle stamped Detroit MI. All lights and turn signals function as they should including marker lights, dash and license plate lights. New Kenwood stereo/CD/MP3 player and new Kenwood 400w 3way stereo speakers provide crystal clear audio for listening to the Oldies. Custom frame painted satin black. Up front is a drilled straight axle front end with 40 Ford juice brakes and backing plates, 80 fin Buick Drums and Pete & Jakes rod shocks. The rear is model A buggy spring attached to a 69 GM ten bolt posi, supported by custom ladder bars and gas shocks. Original steel 32 Ford grill shell with stainless insert. 32 Ford commercial TwoLite headlamps mounted to custom headlight stands and Harley Davidson chrome bullet amber turn signals/marker lights. The rear of the car has grafted 60 Mercury Comet tail lights and the license plate is lit with two chrome lighted license plate bolts. Fuse panel, fuel tank and new 850 CCA battery are located in hidden area behind the seat that is easily accessible removing the 4 wing nuts and two brackets viewable in the pictures. The drive train is a 1957 Dodge Truck, 354 HEMI hopped up with a mild cam, two deuce intake and two Ball & Ball (Carter) 2 barrel carbs with chrome snorkels. Powder coated and polished headers and valve covers. Vintage polished aluminum finned wire covers. Stock distributor with Taylor wires. Transferring power to the rear is a 69 GM, 350TH tranny. Wheels are 16” 40 Ford front with 5.50 16 Firestone Champion WW’s and rear are 15” Steelie’s with 8.90 15 Firestone Champion WW’s. ½ 20 studs all around and new chrome bullet lug nuts, bullet center caps and bullet valve stem covers. The car is a true hot rod. It’s not a perfect 10 show car. Looks great and runs strong, stays cool all day long. Own a car that none of your buddies have.
