The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based on my observations while driving it. The goal of my description is to give you a detailed account of what driving this car is like so that you feel as if you've driven it yourself. Please read the entire description carefully before bidding. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a gem of a 1996 Cadillac Eldorado. This breathtaking example is presented in "dark cherry" with matching dark cherry interior with beautifull chrome wheels. As you can see from the photos, this Eldorado is absolutely stunning to look at from any angle! Being a used vehicle, I am sure you could find something wrong with it if you look hard enough...but you'd have to look pretty hard. There are no noticable scratches, dings, dents or even rock chips! I was unable to find any rust. On each and every surface, the dark cherry paint has a mile deep shine. In fact, I noticed this morning while driving it that you could drive and not even look up. It's shine is so deep that you can easily see the road in front of you and cars ahead of you by their reflection in the hood! Simply amazing... The special chrome wheels are gorgeous and show very well. All four tires have plenty of tread left and the thin white wall really makes the car look great. All of the glass is in tact and the head and tail light lenses are crystal clear! The trunk is clean and spacious. The self closing trunk operates as it should. I would rate the body of this car as EXCELLENT. Anyone should be proud to drive this car anywhere. The interior of this Cadillac is also very nice. I would rate the interior as EXCELLENT. The wood trim is not faded. The door panels are all in tact and show no wear. There is a small amount of wear visible on the drivers seat bolster but it's not torn. As you can see, the seats are in great condition. The carpets and headliner are nice and clean. This car comes with a complete set of matching floor mats. The retracting cup holder works perfectly. The remote entry works but will probably need a battery soon. The factory stereo sounds great. The climate control works as it should. There are steering wheel controls for both the audio and climate control systems. The onboard computer monitors all vital vehicle functions and is accessed through the controls to the left of the steering wheel. Pride in ownership definitely shows all over this great car. In the glove box is a complete set of books, manuals and the original $41,000 window sticker in their original factory portfolio complete with Cadillac pen! Mechanically, this Eldorado appears to be in great condition. It has only been driven 80,000 miles since new and was originally a California car. The 4.6L Northstar engine starts right up and runs smoothly. I have driven this car a few times and she drives very well. The power is smooth and the engine holds great temperature. I looked where I had it parked and there were no puddles under it. The suspension and steering are both nice and tight. The brakes stop the car well and without any noise or pulsation. Accelleration is a breeze for the mighty Northstar V8. On the highway, her road manners are excellent. She tracks nice and strait and there are no vibrations in the front end. Everything feels nice and tight. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts gears perfectly. The aforementioned window sticker rates this car at 26 mpg highway. From watching the onboard computer, I would say that is right on the money. It's nice to have a luxury vehicle that won't empty your wallet at the pump.
