There have been absolutely no engine modifications ever performed on the car, and all service work and BMW suggested maintenance has been performed by Husker BMW in Lincoln, Nebraska, or Markel BMW in Omaha, Nebraska, under the highly valuable coverage plans that BMW offers. For the 3-series, they would cost a buyer over $4000 out of pocket for both coverages. The BMW factory and extended warranty's are what make these fantastic cars a no-brainer purchase. We haven't spent a dime on this car in maintenance costs for over 3 years other than having an extra oil and filter change from time to time between the yearly recommended services. This isn't necessary but seems to be a smart practice considering the time and distance between scheduled manufacturer recommended changes these days. You won't have to spend a dime either for the next year and a half or your first highly enjoyable 40,000 miles! Plus when you do take your car in for service, the customer service is generally very good and you almost always receive a nice clean new BMW as a loaner. The car looks, runs, and drives fantastic. As stated above, every service has been performed on time and with certified BMW dealers. We just had a brand new OEM battery installed which should be good for another 5 or 6 years. BMW Corp. just recently(1000 miles ago) replaced the front brake pads and rotors under warranty, and the braking on these cars is serious! The handling is kart-like despite the additional weight of the wagon. The interior is in great condition and the leather is basically flawless. The interior is probably a 9 on a 1 to 10 scale. The paint is in very good condition with not a single door ding. You'd be hard pressed to find any scratches or knicks on the paint as well, although there are a few very small unnoticeable imperfections. The exterior is probably a 9 out of 10 as well. I've double waxed and detailed the car with One Grand Professional products with regularity, and for 60,000 miles the car is in very, very good shape. My wife drove the car for the first two years and myself for the last year and a half or so after adding the upgrades. We need a 7 passenger, towing SUV so my 3er has got to go... The Sportwagon is not a blindingly fast vehicle but is definitely on the very quick and "snappy" side if you will! It's been a blast to drive since day one. I previously owned a 3 series sedan and loved it as well, but the exclusivity of the BMW Wagon is hard to beat. The extra stares from onlooking admirers when they see an unfamiliar family wagon with a true Euro Look and beautiful wheels is priceless... The Kahn Wheels are an exclusive set of Italian wheels imported from the UK, which may be one of a handful of sets in the United States. The rims and the Continental tires are like new with less than 7000 summer, conservatively operated miles on them. There are a couple hard to see small scuffs on the face of one wheel but they are nearly flawless otherwise and accentuate the sleek Sportwagon body style nicely. If the buyer would prefer, they can purchase the vehicle without the extra sound system equipment and/or 19" wheels, and I can re-mount the stock BMW wheels. The reserve price is set so the winning bidder will receive the car as photographed with the 19" Kahn rims and BMW stock rims, unless requested otherwise through e-mail, prior to the auctions end. All shipping costs associated with the transfer of the vehicle will be paid by the buyer. I will accommodate you as much as possible on coordinating a time to meet with the shipper of your choice. If you prefer to come to Omaha to pick the car up and drive home that would be fine as well. When I purchased the car from Patrick BMW in Chicago, that's what I did, and it made for a fantastic first 450 mile road trip home to get acquainted with the car! I got around 27 miles to the gallon on the highway the first time I came home and it still does the same now... It gets about 20 or 21mpg in the city...
