On Apr-14-11 at 23:32:40 PDT, seller added the following information 1965 SUICIDE DOOR CONTINENTAL HARD TOP SEDANNO RESERVE - NO RESERVE - NO RESERVE ***HIGH BIDDER SETS THE PRICE*** Health reasons have regrettably forced me to scale back my restoration projects and activities. Therefore, I am selling a number of vehicles and a variety of rare, collectable and muscle car parts along with other assorted treasures All of these items will be listed this week so check back regularly to see my other items as I get them listed. This vintage suicide door slabside is one of a pair of 65 continentals I have owned for about 7 years. The other one a rag top sedan is black with a black interior and black convertible top. Both cars are equipped with there legendary original 430 cubic inch conservatively rated 320 horsepower 465 foot pound torque monster engines and automatic transmissions.Neither car has been running for about 10 years, but both cars did run when they were first parked by the previous owner. I do not have the title to either car at this time and therefore am listing them as parts cars which are being sold as is where is and will need to be towed. The purchaser will receive a bill of sale. If it is possible to acquire a title at some future date I will gladly make that available at no charge to the buyer or buyers but, it should not be assumed that this will be the case!Because of the rarity and potential value of these cars and if the buyer was to consider a total restoration they would certainly find the other 65 I have listed to be a gold mine bonanza of parts. So anyone looking at this listing should be sure to also check out the other one when deciding their best use for the car. The winning bidder is responsible for all transportation costs and arrangements. If needed, I can suggest someone to tow the cars for a reasonable fee and assistance is available if needed in loading the cars.Buyer is required to pay a nonrefundable $500.00 deposit within 48 hours of auctions close with the balance due and cars picked up within 7 days. Deposit may be paid by PayPal and balance due in cash at the time of pickup.I encourage anyone interested to please make an appointment to look at the cars before you buy. they can be seen up to 24 hours prior to auctions end by appointment only. For appointment or additional information, email the57gearhead@verizon.net or call 412-439-3643. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE LAST TIME THESE 2 CARS WILL BE AVAILABLE DON'T MISS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO STEAL THESE CARS! NO RESERVE! THANKS FOR CHECKING OUT THE LISTING AND GOOD LUCK! On May-07-11 at 14:56:44 PDT, seller added the following information: HISTORIC NOTE: The following information was brought to my attention by a great member of the eBay community (comdrsca) and may be of interest to all bidders! Hi there... very interesting car u have there, the DSO 84 signifies it was a "Home Office Reserve" car, meaning it was a Ford Executive's personal company car, hence why it is loaded to the gills, options wise. What is the name on that brass plaque on the passenger side of the dash?? Curious if it was a big shooter from Dearborn's car. ANSWER: The name is LEROY N. LEIBOLD And I guess that explains why the car has every option known to man.
