Up for auction the week is an immaculate, super low mileage Chevy 1500 454 SS Pickup Truck. These trucks are very rare to find with these low miles and completely unmolested condition. It has some special options that set it apart from other Chevy trucks. Unique exterior features included a front air dam with fog lights, special rims, decals displaying "454SS" on the bed sides, red trim emblems, and black painted grille, bumpers, and mirrors. The interior was also unique with a special plush Garnet Red cloth with black trim, high-back reclining sport bucket seats, and center console. This particular SS was sold new at Roberts Chevrolet in Carteret, NJ in October of 1990. It was special ordered by a life long GM employee when this truck was announced in 1989. It was brought out to Arizona when she retired in 1994 and has remained here in Scottsdale ever since. It is a one owner truck and has been extremely well taken of. The under carriage is nice and clean and there is absolutely no rust, bodywork or previous paintwork of any kind on this truck. The interior is in great shape all around! The Garnet Red seats, carpets, door panels, and headliner are all very nice with no rips or tears at all. The inside looks almost new. All of the accessories work as they should (switches, power mirrors, stereo, Ice cold AC, etc.) The truck has the original matching GM floor mats and dash mat. Mechanically, the truck runs GREAT! The engine starts right up and runs really smooth. The transmission shifts nice and smooth. The 454ci Engine puts out 230hp and has 385 pounds of torque. With the combination of the 3.73 rear axle, this truck can really spin its tires! The truck rides and handles nice as well. We have driven it over 250 miles and have found no mechanical issues.
