first off let me say you wont buy a cleaner #s matching real 340 dart/duster anywere for the price of this car, solid and straight not a rebuilt rust bucket, low reserve, and bid with confidence as my feedback shows i try my best and sometimes over kill on problems in the descriptions, I also urge all potential buyers to come veiw the car in person ask questions and do your homework or if not dont leave me negitive feedback for your not checking or looking before you buy auction is for a clean original #s matching rebuilt 1973 340 dart sport the car hasnt been taged or on the road since around 1999 motor was rebuilt 10-14-1997 [comes with receipts from ter ron auto motion in va beach va] unknown milage since rebuild... only to say it cannot be much as it was taken off the road very shortly after rebuild small cam newer hooker headers 2009 rebuilt 727 trans w/small stall convertor and sfi flexplate in 09 rebuilt driveshaft and u joints in 09 brakes in 09 complete dual exhaust with flowmasters 09 new gas tank 09 new tinted windshield installed last year... all glass is good the front end appears stock and will need a front end alignment all with almost no miles on them fender tag intact and correct body description very solid body only rust ever in this car was the very lower rear quarters and the front floor pans which was redone with patch panels and one front floor pan was replaced...note...passenger side floorpan has a 12x 12 homemade steel plate installed but the car will come with a new pass. side floor pan if you want to install it later, other than that it is rust free including the trunk floor which is amazingly solid for almost 40 year old car paint was done buy the previous owner in 1999 in base clear and as you can tell shines nice and new stripes were added unfortunately it has some small dings and scrapes that i will try to point out in the pics [also for me I would have painted it the original hi impact petty blue] since the pics i have used touch up paint on some of the dings and it looks better than the pics show the only real dent is in the front nose above the grille and the auction will come with a replacement upper panel above the grille the bumpers need rechromed as the are painted but are straight and solid interior...mostly finished with the exception of the rear seat [see pics] car will come with 2- 15 rally wheels that are original to the car but missing the other two more details... original 8 3/4 rear with 3.23 gears also will come with two new correct stainless exhaust tips $200.00 value things the car still needs.... wiper motor not working dash lights transmission lines leak and need replaced carb is junk and needs rebuilt or me just replaced car will start and drive as video shows but remember it hasnt been driven in 11 years so it still needs some tlc before it hits the road so plan on towing it unless you live across the street note.... I have the stuff to fix this car however everything I do jacks the price up so to keep the cost down i am offering it like it is if you buy it and come here to veiw it or pic it up i will sell you what ever you need to go with it including [not included in auction....] new rebuilt 4.30 suregrip third member LD 340 intake msd box holley 750 cfm mech. secd and much more summary.... straight solid clean original motor and trans #s matching car not a 6 cyl or even a 318 but a real hi impact 340 dart sport just needing some finishing if you want one of these cars that looks this good #s matching you can shell out 12-24 grand or spend around 7 grand and finish mine not that it matters but im already loosing on this car as i have more than the asking price in it the reserve is under 7500.00 and whoever buys it can rest assured it is not loosing value with time a short video can be seen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=527d6QB-fy8 a walk around of car sorry for the focus sucking on video cheap camara http://youtu.be/Hs6KWnV0670 contact me for more pics or details car can be seen by appointment only by calling 540 847 7530 easy to find just 5 miles off exit 130 B off int. 95 in fredericksburg, va 22407 two airports closeby dullas and richmond both aprox 1 hour away and yes i will pick you up On Apr-26-11 at 06:19:31 PDT, seller added the following information: in the video there is a oil spot behind the car and yes that is from the transmission line that just started leaking and I am going to try to fix that asap...[figures it wouldn t leak untill its time for a video] also note that some of the dings on the body have been filled with evercoat putty and now covered with touch up paint [looks better than in the pics] also on the bottom of the drivers door alot of the marks the video showed were just wiped off with a clean towel also the car needs the heater duct hose under dash as the original one was scraped along with the radio and ant..[aftermarket] On Apr-27-11 at 19:18:58 PDT, seller added the following information: ok more details.... after watching the second video i noticed i did not point out the small spot on the passinger side upper quarter behind the pass. rear window if you look close you will see the white spot were it had a small ding and was evercoated, as i said all these spots have now been touched up with touch up paint and are hard to see [not fixed just hidden better only a paint job will totally correct them but you can look good from 10 feet away also those with a good ear will notice the car wont idle very good ....there is nothing wrong with the motor just should have put new plugs and maybe a tune up which is hasnt had for a number of years if i were to tune it up i was going to use the ld 340 intake and a holly carb with a MSD IGN. all at once however as i said i was trying to keep the price down but rest assured the motor is strong and has great oil pressure and will really wake up with a tune up and carb change also im not sure what camshaft the motor has but it sounds pretty healthy, it may be somewere in the stack of engine reciepts that come with the car i drove the car today to put it on my lift to look at the trans line leak and noticed the shifter may need adjusted a bit also as it dosnt feel like it travels all the way into park will keep you posted the trans line leak is were the line was kinked at one time and should be a easy fix I was going to try to get power stearing hose made up for tranny lines [[[[ they work great and are much more durable and easyier to run ]]]] On Apr-28-11 at 17:34:58 PDT, seller added the following information: The reserve has been met the car will be sold to the highest bidder so only bid if you are going to purchace this car if by chance the high bidder dosnt purchace it negitive feedback will be left and the next highest bidder will be given the chance to buy it so keep in touch and use the contact # in the ad I awnser all calls and questions asap thanks and good luck hope this little part of history finds a good home 540 847 7530 Joe
