Vehicle Detail
Regrettably up for sale is my 2002 MR2 Spyder. I choose to pay taxes over death because one or the other is inevitable. This is an adult owned vehicle and I have maintained this vehicle well. This car runs strong and as a Toyota with proper maintenance is likely provide more miles than many new cars. The Konig rims have tires with plenty of tread and it has always been garaged while in my care. It has never been raced, but has done some canyon time, where it performs as if it is glued to the road. Rims and the rear spoiler were fitted in 2007. The front end was lowered properly with Tien springs and a computer alignment shortly after the rims. I have the rear lower springs to take it down an inch, as well as the stock front springs to raise it back up. The only engine modifications are a K&N forever air filter and an ACT clutch kit. I had a great Panasonic stereo installed last year and it sounds good through the stock speakers it features a usb, auxiliary and MP3 CD player and you can purchase iPod and bluetooth adapters. Also installed is a proximity notification alarm, however the remote does not seem to work. Power locks, power windows, power mirrors, defroster, heater, air conditioner, all interior and exterior lights, horn, gauges, wipers everything works fine. I have placed a very low reserve for this vehicle because.... ...There is a considerable amount of paint chipping on the front and the hood due to my proximity to a jerk who lost control in front of me going into the embankment off the I-15, where the driver kicked tons of little rocks into the front of the car. To me it does not appear to have any damage that a good paint job wouldn't fix. The windshield is 2 years old, replaced due to this event. There is a very small amount of damage on the driver side of the rear bumper due to a very light parking lot bump. There is also a two inch separation in the vinyl top near the rear window, I believe that a vinyl repair kit would fix it. The tear does not leak and is not prevalent but may get worse if not fixed. I have not attempted to fix it as I only noticed it recently. The interior is in good shape except by the driver side left arm where the seat had been patched due to wearing through at that point. The patch is adequate, but not professional and is somewhat noticeable, though no one has ever mentioned it without me pointing it out. The antenna broke off monthly so I just leave it off, as it does not seem to affect reception. Frankly other than the hood, the car looks appropriate for it's age and bears only small blemishes. If someone gets this car at or near the reserve price it will be the bargain of the year. Serious Bidders Only
