Vehicle Detail

Sunbeam Alpine - 1967 Series V – Orchid Green (Rootes Color Code 109) with black interior. Matching Orchid Green Hardtop and an older “new” soft top that is not installed. The soft top was stored for a few years and has spots on the rear plastic, I do not know if they can be cleaned off or the plastic replaced, the remainder of the top is in perfect new condition. Prior to me this was a 2 owner California and is in great condition! The owner before me bought the car in 1999 from the original owner and he meticulously restored the car. The color is a beautiful rare period soft green similar to Jaguar’s Willow Green. A very rare color combination and only available on the later Series V Alpine. I personally love it! I bought a speedometer off of eBay to replace the speedometer that came on the car since it was not from a 1967 Alpine. Therefore, I do not know the real mileage on the car. The car does have matching numbers throughout – (Chassis (VIN#) B395014487LRX) – (Body SAL613146) – (Eng# B395014487). In 1999 the car was professionally repainted the original color – Orchid Green. The body which is rust and accident free was completely disassemble, interior removed and repainted. All rubber seals were replaced and the car meticulously reassembled to stock condition. The car is complete with original 60 spoke painted wheels and spare, all tools including hand-crank starter and service book. Also as you will see in the picture the car comes with a car cover, an extra trunk lid with a luggage rack installed (the previous owner couldn’t bare to drill holes), a matching hardtop, and many extra parts that I’ve purchase for this and my previous Alpine. I also have the original grill bar and motif, I also purchase a refurbish motif that is in perfect condition. I also have the re-chromed bumper guards. The only things I know are not working on the car are the amp meter, clock, horn and wipers. The car runs and drives well. Good Luck Bidding. I will cooperate with any reasonable requests for meeting your shipping company if you choose to have the car transported. Car sold as is. There is a documentation fee of $75. Illinois buyers will be expected to pay sales tax and registration. Out of state buyers, please check your state laws/regulation before biddingOn Apr-28-11 at 13:37:01 PDT, seller added the following information: Sunbeam Alpine - 1967 Series V – Orchid Green (Rootes Color Code 109) with black interior. I was not aware of how the revision feature worked. I got feedback from some 'watchers" that the car may not be stock, indeed I know that the dash is not a 1967 stock item. I believe it to be after market. Also I want to make more clear that the car currently does not have a soft top installed. I have a new top I purchased a few years ago for a different Serier V Sunbeam. It does have some spots on it. I don't know if can be cleaned off or will need the plastic replaced, but the remainder of the top is new and in great condition. Thanks BobOn Apr-30-11 at 07:55:14 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been asked for some additional pictures and to take a closer look at the closer look at the car for cosmetic flaws. I will list out the addtional flaws I see and I can send you the pictures if you email me. Unfortunately, eBay will not allow me to add or change pictures after there has been a bid. Flaws, a few small chip marks around the inside of the door, as well as under the hood. Relatievely minor, but there, I have pictures I can send As previously mentioned, the dash and glovebox are weaknesses on the car, I took some close up pictures so you could see, please request if you want them. I also took closer pictures of the engine bay and engine and the undercarriage. To answer one question I got, not the undercarriage does not appear to have been part of the restoration and it was not undercoated in anyway. Again, have some pictures I can send upon request. Please ask your questions before bidding, the car is sold as is. Thanks Bob
