Vehicle Detail

1968 Pontiac firebird. I'll briefly explain the car as best as I can - Additional information can be received by contacting me via email. REAR RIGHT SIDE TAIL LIGHT DOES WORK SINCE PICTURES AND VIDEO WAS TAKEN. 68 body with a 67 front valence. Previous owner used it as a drag car. Since then the roll cage has been cut out and the fuel tank replaced with a new high capacity tank. The only evidence of its history is a new carpet and two small switches on the dash that currently do nothing. dual ladder bars. 10 bolt Posi. 2.56 gears. Extra tire mounted on extra matching wheel. 4 speed 400 ci engine with 6-x heads. Burns rubber regardless of the relative lack of low-end power due to ratio! This is a cruiser and gets around 18-20 MPG highway. all gauges and dash components functional. New hood tach I had a sound system installed that totaled just over 2000 dollars. Two nine inch subs in the trunk, two 7 inch speakers in the rear and two 4 inch speakers in the front. Awesome rockford amp and a new battery keeps the battery juice in check so long as the car is running. Included in the installation was some custom interior work where the front woodgrain dash was refurbished with vinyl and the rear package tray was completely rebuilt to house the speakers and has a matching carpet texture to compliment the black interior. Thundering base is easy to come by, and this has plenty of it, but the money spent here was also invested in the acoustics - the speakers sound phenomenal. Has a usb interface in the dash to accommodate an ipod. Also has functioning radio and cd player features. Newer bucket seats 160 mph speedo Dual exuast - nothing too fancy here. Engine rumbles and sounds phenomenal! I wish I could tell you the exact casting and codes - to my knowledge it's a early 70's block pulling around 300 horsepower with the heads it has. rebuilt front end originally an A/C car, but has since been removed to accommodate the 400. Heater works and blows air. Functioning P/S and Power brakes. Front wheels have new disc brakes. Barebones rebuild of the entire suspension. Handles quite well and there is no pull when accelerating and stopping. Very, very minimal rust at the back ends of the vinyl and right behind the rear wheels. Everywhere else on the car is in "daily driving" condition. The engine isn't the prettiest in the world of dress-up but is very clean, both inside and out. Awesome daily driver in general and is very reliable. As I had indicated, please contact via email. I may be interested in trading fully or partially for a 67-70 mustang fastback, a 70-74 cuda / challenger, a 70 firebird or a 69 gto. Manual transmissions heavily preferred! If you think your car may be worth more than mine I may still be willing to talk. I Will remove the auction outside of 12 hours of ending if the bid is not appropriate for the value of the car. Additionally, the car is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction in case of a local sale. I will RE-LIST the car WITH a reserve AND buy-it-now price if the bid is too low. I have had the car estimated at a value of 11,000 USD. Thank you! 1968 Pontiac firebird.
