Ultimate Driving Machine indeed You are bidding on a TOTOALED 1985 325e. 2.7 liter M20 eta Engine with 5 speed manual gearbox and Limited Slip Diff. This is one great parts car!!! With a boat load of extra spare parts included! I have owned this car for about 11 years and it has never let me down. In the coming months I have become to busy to fix it this time. The insurance company totaled it and now it’s better for my upcoming situation if I get rid of it. I actually drove the car for about 10 days after the accident because I needed to and everything still works. The trunk was broken shut so I didn’t mind about that but all the tail lights and signals work. You can still drive totaled cars with salvage titles as long as the repairs are made and everything works to pass your states inspection, if your state has that. OR, This is one great parts car! Basically the accident was a guy tailgating me one snowy morning and the car in front of me slowed down to turn and the guy behind me did not have enough space to slide so he decided to ram the tail end of my car to slow down, thanks. I guess it’s obvious that it’s a bit damaged but it is very repairable if you have the time and patience. The part needed to repair it is called a Tail Panel and I found it on-line for $199.02. As the car sits now everything works except the A/C, onboard computer, and Brake Pad lining sensors. Onboard computer works but the bulb that lights it up is burned out and the exterior air temperature sensor wiring is corroded. The engine is very strong and is not original to the car. The engine was replaced at 220K and the engine put in only had 85K so the math comes out to about 110K on the engine (give or take a 1000 miles, can’t remember exact milage) while the chassis is the true 330K. Some of the NEW parts put on this in the past 3 years are as follows – Battery - Brakes all around, including parking brake pads and cables – Radiator – Plugs, Cap and Rotor – Tires are seasonal so tread is very good, about 6.5 – 7.5 mm all around – Fuel filter – Front control arms – Front and rear sway links – tie rod ends – front sway bar bushings – I service the vehicle regularly, 3-4 thousand miles for every oil change – with Diff. oil at that interval to. Last Service was August of 2010 at 328K. Obviously this is a better parts car than anything else. Some of the parts have been sold already, so what this car DOES NOT have is the Front and Rear Seats, and Blower Motor. The only real upgraded parts are the Bavarian Autosport lowering springs with Bilstein Sport shocks all around. Great ride and handling.
