1990 Mazda Rx-7 Turbo I have owned this car for 12 years, bought with 60k Miles originally so approximately 6k miles per year of driving, very very rarely in winters if at all. Car is in good shape mechanically and cosmetically especially for a 21 year old car. Paint is nice and looks clean. Very few tiny dings on the doors but hardly noticeable unless the car is super clean and you stand at the right angle. Starts, runs, drives fine. I have stored the car and not driven it for 1 and a half years now, but it has been started every 2 weeks and run to ensure it did not just sit there. The "bad" I will list first. Throwout bearing chatters a little bit when clutch is engaged. Car will likely need a new clutch soon anyways (but it doesn't slip at all). Basing this off mileage. Car has a radio in it, aftermarket pioneer CD / removeable face with MP3 read capability and AUX input, but no speakers. I moved the previous speakers to my new car. This is easily rectified and I figure anyone buying the car is going to race it and not need speakers, or will be interested in doing their own stereo. Interior is very clean, but there are very minor issues (just trying to list everything here) like a missing vane on one of the AC vents, and some little screw covers missing and such. All in all maybe $50 in little things from a junkyard is all that is needed, I just don't have the time. Car has storage bins but they are not installed at the moment (but will come with the car). I had speakers there and had removed them. Very simple reinstall. Car will NOT pass emissions inspection as is due the racing exhaust on the car (can be viewed as good or bad I guess depending what you want) but the catalytic converters ARE included with the car if you wish to pop them in permanently or for inspection. They are direct bolt on in the existing system. AC needs to be recharged, and belt installed. I never used it so removed the belt. The *good* Tokico 5 way adjustable shocks front and rear Eibach springs, lowered 1 inch 17" Enkei Wun Gun wheels in very good condition (they are 14 years old but no curb rash or anything) Good tread on summer tires Full stainless exhaust with pre silencers from turbo back, like brand new ST sway bars front and rear with adjustable end links Uninstalled Mazdatrix strut tower brace / engine firewall brace / engine torque brace I never got into crazy mods on the car, just suspension and the exhaust. Car handles amazing. Sunroof (a common issue on these cars) has been replaced with a sealed unit, fresh paint on top and underside coated as well. Don't worry about it rusting like all the others... I doubt this one ever will. Window trim on doors has been replaced with new, as original stock ones get very faded. No rust anywhere that I can find. Car can be driven and enjoyed just fine "as is" but is a great candidate for a little work to make it into a pristine car, or a racer. Selling it as it's bothering me to have it just sit there. I had planned on keeping it forever... one of those sentimental things :) but I'd rather it be out there getting some use. These cars are pretty hard to find in this condition. It turns heads, and it gets lots of questions :) Please be willing to pick up the car or have it picked up. Car is in Deerfield, NH, and I can bring it to Manchester, NH, or Rowley, MA for locations for pickup. *Mileage is approximate. I am not within distance of the car right now so can not check... it may be as high as 146K but I am 95% certain it is 136K. Deposit of $500 is expected in hand within 48 hours of auction close, and Payment in full within 5 days. Car is sold "as is" with no warranties expressed or implied. Car is being sold "off road only" due to the exhaust system on the car. As stated, catalytic converters are included for swap / inspection.
