I bought this car from someone on craigslist. this car needed a few things so i got a good deal on it. I have a buddy who is a bmw tech from bmw of cleveland who loooked at the car and we determind the problem. A common defect in the 4.4 engine is called an intake valve cover with a torn diafram. It was a big job involving the removal of the intake manifold. Since that was done the car runs like new; perfect idol, no misfire, full power, no engine noise including no lifter ticks. anyway i need to sell this car asap because i need the money in this unfortunate economy. i drive this car to a different state on the weekends about 200 miles each way and it have never given me a problem (This car also up for sale locally as well so i reserve the right to cancel the auction) I will add pictures of the bumper tomorrow. THE GOOD: -perfect engine and tran -fully loaded except nav -heated steering wheel and seats -power everything works except the read pass window( window motor works fine) -good leather no tears -great realiable and heavy for winter THE BAD: -front bumper cracked (not bad) -needs some bushings in the front including control arm and thrust rod (not expensive but i drive it as is without a problem) -driver side rear door handle snapped off on a really cold night -rear pass window motor works but window doesnt move -few minor cosmetic issues- minimal dings/dents from age, tiny rust spot where wheel well meets bumper -needs wiper relay
