Vehicle Detail

1994 and 1995 Z28's are "very hard to come by". This Camaro comes with the "special, stock LT1 motor; same as the one that Chevy put in the Corvette. The engine in this 1994 Z28 was newly rebuilt and delivered to us on 4/8/11. I believe that this is the first year that Chevy. used this "small block"; "high compression"; faster cooling engine, that generates a lot of torque (est. 330 lbs ft) that is almost identical to the 350 motor. This is a highly sought after motor by Camaro and Corvette owners that need to replace their engine. The "350" motor was without a doubt the best built motor in America. The purpose for the modifications by Chevy at the time, was to increase better fuel efficiency, but without comprimising any performance. It was widely published and recognized that Chevy accomplished this with this particular '94 and '95 LT1 motor. As a Used Car Dealer, we obviously would have preferred to drop a "used low mile engine" in this car as opposed to spending about $1,500 rebuilding this motor. There was (1) motor and manual transmission combo on Ebay with over 100k miles that they wanted $4,000 for. We checked the local wrecking yards and found nothing but junk. We just decided to rebuild our own. Its a fabulous motor and fast. Since the 1994 motor doesn't have all of today's smog stuff, it sounds "very throaty" with no modifications and a stock, dual exhaust. It "growls", kinda like sitting on a Harley! I'm a 59 year old guy and I love it! More so than a Corvette and as a Dealer, I've had them all. The Corvette is hard for an older guy to get into and out of. The Camaro, you feel like you are sitting on top of the motor, not like in a Corvette where the motor is "way out in front of you" and you can't hear the exhaust. [Personally, I will take a CAMARO over a CORVETTE anyday!] Automatic transmission is solid with nothing to report. All fluids are new or are clean. Autocheck Reports "no accidents". Driven an average of only 5400 miles a year, the car only has 92,394 miles. The "industry average driving" is 15,000 miles a year, so this is real low miles for a (17 year old ) car. Check AutoTrader "nationally" or Craigs List and you will find "few if ANY" 1994-95 Camaro's that even "exist for sale". Very difficult to find this '94 Camaro under 100k miles and only a couple that are even available with OVER 100k miles. Guys that own these cars are keeping them. They are not depreciating anymore. . From here on out, "these cars got nowhere to go on price but UP"! New tires. Interior "cloth" upholstery is like "near new". Doesnt' show much of any wear and no tears. This is a coupe with a solid top (not a T-Top roof). This car is a blast to drive. It is a "bad ass muscle car". As a dealer, it is my opinion, that the car's front fascia has been "bumped"; the fascia repainted and appears to have slightly "misaligned the left and right front fenders". Not a huge deal but Ias a Dealer, we need to disclose this. It is also missing (1) fog light so we were able to see the repaint of the front bumper. I've not had a chance to replace the fog lamp. Ironically, the hood has not been repainted so it appears that a minor bump to the front fascia would cause this. It also appears that the rear bumper has been repainted which is not unusual for a 17 year old car. Garage doors bang against every car. The paint color is a "perfect match" all over and no oxidation anywhere. I'd say this car was mostly garaged. Again, the interior is perfect; I do not see any trace that any other part of the car has been repainted. The Power Train is rock solid. We will put a 3 month; 3,000 mile warranty on this car; honored by any ASE mechanic repair shop in the U.S. with a $250 deductable. For an additional "few hundred dollars, you could extend the warranty." . This is an AAGI Warranty (Insurance Company) and it is even honored at the #1 Mercedes Benz dealership in the country (here in Newport Beach, Calif). If you are buying from "out of state", this Warranty will give you a lot of peace of mind, so that if you need any major repair, you know that you can fix it "locally". This Warranty is a Power Train Warranty that covers the Engine; Transmission; and Rear End. Any questions, let me know and I'll get you the answers. Any ASE mechanic shop/dealer will accept AAGI aka WHEELZ warranty. Any questions about AAGI "the company", you can find on Google. They pay the repair shop immediatel and directly. It is a good Insurance Company. . Kelly Blue Book's Suggeted Retail selling price is $6,145 . Owners Manual included. Power windows;door locks; power mirrors; alarm, etc. all work fine. Rear Spoiler. Black Alloy Wheels . These are the original stock wheels that prior owner painted them black. No "curb rash" is noticed on the wheels. . We have a 100% satisfaction rating with EBAY customers and we want to keep it that way. I believe that we have made a clear and fair assesment of this car for you. It has been in the repair shop for the engine rebuild. It was completely checked out and nothing was suggested to be repaired on 4/8/11. The car then went to the tire shop for a brake inspection and brakes are fine and do not need replacing, nor was any repair work suggested. The suspension is excellent and the Steering is excellent as well. The car drives "perfectly tight". The car is like a "wild horse". It just want's to run (fast). With the new motor, we are trying to break it in slowly. There is about 75 - 85 miles on the new rebuilt motor. It handles perfectly on the freeway here in Southern California, doing 75 - 80 mph (this is in the slow lane in California!) If you buy this car and you haven't asked me any questions, then please don't blame me for any "misunderstanding" that may occur. This is a hard to come by car; it's a lot of fun; looks and runs great;and I believe that our "reserve price" (which is way below Retail Book) is "below True Market Value". We are a Licensed and Bonded Retail Car Dealer in Southern California (close to Disneyland if you want to come out and drive the car home!) WE SHIP CARS ALL OVER THE U.S. I CAN PUT YOU DIRECTLY IN TOUCH WITH OUR SHIPPING BROKER AND YOU WILL GET OUR "DEALER PRICING". THEY DO A GREAT JOB! To give you an idea, I have an estimate from our dealership to Chicago for $660. (Heck, even with shipping charges, this car will be landed to you at below Kelly Blue Book's Retail suggested selling price.) At this price, the car would be shipped to you "top loaded" and includes up to $50,000 insurance. (If you ship any vehicle on a carrier, always "top load it" so that you don't get oil or fluid drippings on your vehicle from someone else's vehicle that is above yours". We keep this Camaro "inside" all the time. I've not noticed any oil/or fluid drips of any kind. There are no "swirl marks" in the paint. This car has always been a California car meaning it hasn't been subjected to "harsh weather". You can check us out on our website at www.PHILLIPSAUTOINC.COM . As we say in the business, "this car is worth ALL THE MONEY!!" And remember, Kelly Blue Book's Suggested Selling Price doesn't even factor in a newly rebuilt motor. This is pretty much a "freebie!" Happy Bidding! On Apr-26-11 at 16:35:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Receiving several questions about "will this car pass smog"? DEFINATELY "YES". New Catalytic Converter installed after the engine was finished being rebuilt on 4/8/11. We had to drive the car for minimum 50 miles before smog test. We put a new Catalytict converter in so that we wouldn't have any problem in any state. When you purchase this car, we will mail you the "Smog Certificate" for the state of California, who is the strictest in the country. Take this along with the title to your DMV and you are set. So, again, "YES" this car has "passed smog" and we will mail to you the Certificate along with the title once you've paid for the car. Also, I believe CarFax/Autocheck is in error. My copy of the Autocheck report shows only (5) owners. I think the last two owners have been dealers and we are not considered "owners". Once in dealer inventory, the car should not be reported by either Car Fax or Autocheck that the "dealers" are "owners". If you like, I will write you a statement to this effect. I don't believe that this car has been registered (7) times, but only (5). You will have to send this to CarFax and Autocheck to get them to fix this. [I would if I were the buyer because this has an impact when you go to sell the car some time in the future. Clear it up now.] Both companies are pretty reasonable if you have "documentation". You may have to remind be to send you this letter. On Apr-27-11 at 00:21:57 PDT, seller added the following information: As a dealer, I get a lttle better audiencet than a "private party" withj Car Fax/ Auto Check reports. I will send both agencies a letter tomorrow along with some documentation send a letter to both tomorow 4/27/11 and explain that my copy of the AutoCheck report shows only (5) owners on 3/21/11. I think they have reported "dealers" as "owners" which they know they are not supposed to do. Dealers are NOT owners and the vehicle is considered in "suspension" once it is in dealer inventory. I will make the best effort that I can for the next owner, simply to make the records "accurate". It is simply the right thing to do and therefore, I will attempt to make this happen. Somewhere down the line, you will be anticipate selling the car and it will just be a more "accurate report.". Not the end of the world, but I'll try for you THIS CAR IS GOING TO SELL ON FRIDAY. THE RESERVE PRICE HAS BEEN MET! KELLY BLUE BOOK SUGGESTED RETAIL SELLING PRIICE IS $6,105. THIS "SUGGESTED GUIDELINE IS MERELY A GUDE!" AUCTION PRICES ON JAPANESE CARS AND HARD TO FIND CARS LIKE THIS CAMARO ARE SELLING FOR CLOSE OR OVER "RETAIL KBB. SUGGESTED PRICE". SIMPLY PUT, A CAR LIKE THIS IS NOT GOING TO LOSE MUCH , "IF ANY" PRICE FROM HERE GOING FORWARD. THIS CAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN A CALIFORNIA CAR AND THIS IS A HUGE SELLING POINT WHEN COMPARED TO SOMEONE DRIVING A CAR LIKE THIS BACK EAST IN THE SNOW AND SALT!. THIS IS A "VERY NICE CAR". GOOD LUCK TO ALL BIDDERS!! DON'T FORGET, THIS CAR IS UNDER "WARRANTY" FOR (3) MONTHS, (3,000 MILES), COVERING THE COMPLETE POWER TRAIN: ENGINE; TRANSMISSION; AND REAR END. I will send in the Warranty information once I know the new owners name.. It wil be mailed to you along with a brochure about the Warranty that describes all of other details that the Waranty coves, like the "rear end" and I believe the A/C; rear end; and inclueds FREE Roadside Assistance like Auto Club Roadside Assistance. We are offering to provide this 3 month/3,000 mile coverage to give the "out of state buyers" some "peace of mind" in purchasing this car. Without looking at the brochure, I believe it covers additional items like "steering"; alternator; starter; etc. These are the most expensive components to make you feel confident in buying this car from us. If you're not an experienced EBAY buyer, you are competing against some "pro buyers". Some people that really want this car want to know how to "stand a chance to buy this car". Right now the selling price is at $4,500 which will certainly go up in the next (2+ days). There is a box for you to submit your "maximu bid". For example, you could put in $6,ooo and everytime someone adds a "new bid", the computer will automatically "up your bid without your even watching" another $100 increments. The computer WILL NOT over bid you but will simply keep you in the bidding game. It is a drag to lose a deal on a sweet car like this because someone beat your price by $100. Just put in what ever you feel your maximum price will afford and the computer will only bump your bid in $100 increments. Once the auction and the bidding is over, you can go back and see how the bids "progressed". Trust me, it is just a bummer to lose a great car, as example , over a measly $100. So try this. Find the box near the "bid price box" and it will say " your maximum bid". I can't tell you what to put in there, but I can tell you that EBay will not put all of your money down at "one time". They will only put down incremtental bids of $100 to keep you at the top of the "bid board" until it is sold. For example: if you tell them that you maximum bid price is $5,200, then they will bid you "up to that price". If you are not watching your computer and the bidding hits $5,200, you are now out of the game if the next buyer places a bid for $5,300. Best to give Ebay the maximum flexibility to go $6,000. The bidding my end at (say) $5,4oo; auction over; and you now won the bid with your price of $5,400. JUST MAKE SURE THAT YOU ALWAYS PUT YOUR "MAXIMUM BID" IN THAT BOX SO THAT EBAY KNOWS HOW TO "AUTOMATICALLY PLACE YOUR BID" (ESPECIALLY IF YOU CANNOT SIT BY YOUR COMPUTER AND WATCH THE BIDDING. THIS WAY EBAY WILL DO THS AUTOMATICALLY FOR YOU." I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT WHEN I LOSE A BID ON SOMETHING THAT I REALLY WANT OVER A MEASELY $100!!! COVER YOUR "BUTT" WITH THIS "MAXIMUM BID" BOX!!! I will automatically send the new buyer the current AUTO CHECK report (same as Car Fax!) along with the Smog Certificate and the Title to the car. You will be happy with this "bad boyz car!!" Lastly, the registration expired 4/1/11 I believe. No big deal. The car has been in dealer inventory (which your DMV in any state will know). So you will need to register the car right away so that that police don't have a reason to pull you over. The P.D. knows that the DMV is slow at doing registrations. AS a courtesy to you, I will put a "Dealer Paper Plate" on the back license plate bracket for you so the cops know that you just bought the car and won't mess with pulling you over. There are "no penalty fee's due" when a car is in "Dealer Inventory" so don't worry about this. Just get the car registered as soon as possible. The cops won't bother you for a few weeks. After that, they will start pulling you over, if for no other reason sthan to give you a warning. You don't need the hassle of them "finding something else to write you a ticket for"...so register the car and get at least the minimu liability insurance so that they don't impound your car. This is what they are doing in California because the State is "sooooo broke". Let me know if you need anything further. I'm at your disposal. You can contact me directly by phone (714) 348-1453 or by my website: www.PHILLIPSAUTOINC.COM You will not have any problem "registering the car" in any state. California is the "strictest" in the country. I am a license dealer and am here if you need anything. Thank you for your business. Sincerely, Don Wilder, General Manager / CEO
