Here we have, up for bids, this great running and driving Chevrolet K2500 4x4 pickup. This truck is ready to go to work. It is equipped with the 5.7 liter (350) instead of the more common 7.4 liter (454). Plenty of power, without the hungry appetite for gas. It also has the hard to find heavy duty (NV 4500) 5- speed manual transmission. The radio works, power windows and locks work, all the gauges seem to work, (A.C. MAY need charged, I haven't even tried it). All the lights, turn signals work, horn, wipers, etc...The engine fires right up, no smoke, ticks, misses ,knocks, or pings. The engine sounds very healthy. So is this a perfect truck needing absolutely nothing? Of course not. I go over all these trucks personally as I drive them, and iron out several of the many minor things that annoy me or may potentially annoy the next owner. They are not "restored" to like new condition. They "are" made to function as well as possible, be reliable, and not leave me or someone stranded somewhere. There will always be things that will need further attention. So what are the few things it does need? There are plenty of cosmetic blemishes on this truck throughout. (GM had an awful time during this time period with paint peeling.) The drivers seat is slightly worn where you slide in and out. Both fenders are rusted out on the lower rear. This is actually the only rust areas on the truck. The rest is unbelievably nice and dry. The ABS light goes on every now and again. The drivers' door latch is worn, but I picked up a nice one from the wrecking yard for the new owner to have installed. This truck has the perfect balance of reasonable fuel mileage with heavy duty drivetrain components. We just had the oil and filter changed, air filter, a new clutch, & new windshield installed. All lights/ bulbs work. Radio and heater work great. It goes down the road real smooth, quiet and straight. Brakes are new in the rear and at least 80% in the front. Stops smooth. Engine doesn't tick, knock, drip, smoke,or overheat. Holds good oil pressure. No check engine lights on. Transmission rows through all the gears like it should, but sometimes it's a bit hard to get into 1st from a dead stop. I'm sure it's just a worn.synchronizer. ( I don't have any problem driving it, because I'm used to driving sticks). I have put over 200 miles on this truck personally without issue, so I'm confident it's a good one. It will go down the hiway 75 + all day long without missing a beat. The interior is still real decent. The seats aren't all torn up and it doesn't smell. The clutch is new and tight. As nice as this truck is, it still isn't new. The truck has 159000 miles. It's also 17 years old. There are plenty of dings, dents, and scratches on this truck consistent with a used pickup of it's age and mileage. (But again, you're also not spending like a new truck either). Please look at the pictures. They do the damaged areas pretty good justice. I think it looks better than most 95's you will find out there. As far as I can tell, it's never even had any paintwork done, so it's all original, meaning not wrecked. The 4 tires look like new to me and they are LT245/75R16 "E" range load. (10 ply rated). There is no evidence that this truck has ever been used to plow snow. All in all, this is one nice, heavy duty truck that is going to be a bargain for someone. As you can imagine, with any used vehicle, it is nearly impossible to cover every last square inch in detail with this brief description. There are many different companies that specialize in doing nothing but that. They generally charge between $100-175 and may truly be a bargain to give you piece of mind and any info you may need. The vehicle will be made available for inspection by appointment. If you decide to forego the inspection offered, there really is no reason you should be unhappy about anything after the auction has ended. Most vehicles are generally purchased by us at dealer only auctions for the sole purpose of resale. We sell these vehicles at FAR below any dealer retail prices. This gives you room for any additional repairs that you see fit. They have not undergone ANY type of inspections/ or tests for ANYTHING. This includes emmissions and safety inspections. I don't care if it's brand new. You should expect to do some type of basic scheduled maintenance or repairs to any USED vehicle listed on here or for that matter, ....anywhere. In conclusion, it is ULTIMATELY the buyers responsability to have fully satisfied themselves as to the overall condition of the vehicle. Titles. All vehicles that we purchase and offer for resale have clear Title. We do NOT knowingly deal in any vehicles with salvage title histories, period. The State of Colorado automatically exempts the recorded mileage on the title for any vehicle over ten years old, and over 100,000 miles. Therefore, on these vehicles, the titles will simply be "exempted miles" and have a "0" indicated for odometer reading. That doesn't indicate that the mileage is unknown, or that it has been tampered with, it simply means they (The State), are no longer keeping track of mileage after that.
