Vehicle Detail

This car will sell in three days to the highest bidder. This is a one of a kind, very nice, weekend driver. This car has too much to list! Billet specialties wheels, classic air, Quickor suspension upgrades, fuel injected Corvette motor, and much, much, more! Fact: There were fewer El Camino's made in 1960 than in any other year. (This makes the 1960 the most rare model.) Fact: Lt1, Lt4 motors are notorious for their performance and reliability. Fact: YOU CANNOT BUILD THIS CAR FOR UNDER 25K, (Even if you are Chip Foose.) The previous ad follows. So it's finally time to buy the perfect old car... something that is not only reliable, but will also get plenty of attention. You've been looking for weeks or months, but always seem to find the same old watered down classifieds. Look no further. This car is awesome!!! Built by yours truly, I can tell you anything about this car. Have been working on it since I was 15 years old, and have a documented restoration. Other things in life are taking priority, and I'm willing to let this thing go for a song. I've got somewhere around 25 grand in her. Upgrades include, Mcgaughys power disc brakes, drop spindles, accompanied with a proportioning valve to get that perfect 60/40 70/30 stopping combination. Also has a killer paint scheme featuring candy orange paint on bottom and corvette white up top, separated by a 350z blue line. When you open the hood, the chaos inside seems to be self explanatory. Billet serpentine system designed by street and performance specifically for this application. I rerouted every wire that I possibly could through the frame, so the only visible wires are the plug wires by Taylor that match the paint. The paint was done professionally by a very experienced custom paint personality in the DFW area. The graphics on the fenderwells are subtle enough that the overall engine picture could not pick them up. They include a mural of fire over checkered flag with skulls. Now I'm not a skull kind of person, but when my graphics designer showed me this idea, we just had to go with it! Wooden surfboard rear-view mirror. Led 3rd brakelight. The air conditioning compressor has never been engaged, and is brand new from street and performance. The power steering pump is also brand new, and is accompanied by a stainless reservoir. The interior is nice but not show quality. The car is now 97% finished, and I have a wife and kids, (no time.) I know that the word unfinished can be a complete turnoff, but this is no heap! The car is 100% driveable, but after painted, I didn't reconnect the air. I still have the hoses, but again have not had the time to reconnect the air. I had also thought of rerouting the hoses where they weren't visible, and hadn't thought of a way to do that. The bed is unfinished. I've been tempted many times to just spray bedliner in and be done, but I can't get the idea of wooden slats over an oak bed in the center out of my head. The battery is hidden in the smuggler's hatch, and would eventually be covered by the bed of your choice. Also, there is a power disconnect complete with a removable key if you ever decided to leave at the edge of the parking lot for any length of time(God forbid). The 700r4 transmission has been completely gone through. The engine, donated by a sheriff car, had only 35,000 miles on it before a rookie deputy wrapped the camaro around a tree. These engines are notorious for their power and extremely long life. I use full synthetic oil. The rear end has also been completely gone through. Polished, high pressure send and return lines are fed by a custom fuel cell was built specifically for this car. I'm sure there is much that I forgot to list about this car, but I believe I've at least stated most of the upgrades. By all means, this is not what I would call a perfect car, but it is extremely nice to get out and drive on a Sunday afternoon. Happy Bidding! Revisions include- I haven't ran numbers on block, so I cannot verify that the engine is an Lt4, however THE HEADS ARE ALUMINUM HEADS. To my knowledge it is an Lt4. I'm being very conservative when I say that the engine had 35,000 miles when the donor was wrecked. The engine has stock internals(rollercam), but new distributor and plug wires by Taylor. (Mainly for insurance.) Computer is brand new. (You have to use 92-93 computer to accomodate 700r4 trans.) Chip/prong has been reprogrammed for about 75% performance level, to maintain some fuel economy. The car gets around 26 mpg. Fact: Although this was a Texas car, what extremely little rust this car had, has been removed. PPG paint, and epoxy primer was used throughout the bodywork of this car. Fact: This car (to me anyway) is considered unfinished. Primarily because of the bed, and the lack of the a/c compressor being reconnected. When connected before, the a/c would absolutely freeze you out. Since then, the Vortec 350 was removed to make way for the Lt4. Before the engine swap, heat retardant was used on all portions of the firewall. Fact: I have all parts/pieces to complete this car, although it can be used as a daily commute driver now. The thought of this kills me, but I'm simply saying it's possible. There is no reserve and I reserve the right to end the auction as the car is also for sale locally. Lt1, Lt4, Ls1, Ls6, Ls2, Ls3, Ls7, Ls9, Z06, Z51, SS, Z28, Camaro, Chevelle, Impala, Cts-V, Nova, Muscle, Rat Rod, Street rod, M5, M3, Gt, R/t, Srt, Viper, Shelby
