Vehicle Detail

Over view: 1973 MGB GT Supercharger, A/C with serpentine belt, 4 speed with over drive. Ebay form will not accept my 13 digit VIN # so here it is: GHD5UD317955G This car went through a complete restoration 4 years ago. I drove it for about 10,000 miles and was unhappy with the amount of oil that it went through. I pulled the engine and had it and the transmission professionally rebuilt. The mechanic discovered that I had run the car extremely rich, resulting in the rings never seating. When he rebuilt it, we installed the supercharger. The results are amazing. The car uses virtually no oil (rare for an MG) and runs like a champ! I have put about 6000 miles on her since the engine rebuild. The same local Jag/MG mechanic services it every 2500-3000 miles. Exterior: This is a 3 year old paint job done in Tahiti Blue with a painted on white racing stripe. The paint and body are in Great shape with absolutely no rust. There are a few chips in the paint about the size of a ball point pen tip. These are no doubt from normal road wear. There is one spot on the left rear corner caused from a kids bicycle falling on it. The front spoiler also his some imperfections. Overall, the paint quality and color grab a ton of attention every time I drive the car. The car rides on a set of 15 inch Minilite wheels All glass is good shape Chrome is in decent shape Interior: The seats, door panels, shifter boot and some trim panels are all covered in a high grade soft leather. This interior is complete custom! Wood grain dash Moss air conditioning system installed to look factory Later model MGB steering wheel Blue tooth for the phone, Alpine cd player with Ipod hook up and remote New carpet with dynomat installed throughout the car Head liner is the only part of the interior that was not replaced. It is in good shape. It could use a nip and tuck here and there, but overall does not detract from the look of the interior.on board battery trickle charger. Just plug the car in if it is going to sit a whilebattery cut off switch located behind the passenger seatsoft MG specific car cover Under the Hood: Freshly rebuilt MGB engine Aluminum head with a slight mill of the block surface for added compression Moss super charger Mild street cam Custom aluminum dual core radiator Moss A/C kit with serpentine pulleys Electronic ignition Dyno mat hood insulation Dual air horns Rebuilt heater box Custom A/C lines Car also comes with a set of roller rockers not installed. I originally had a more radical cam along with the rollers, but they did not pair well together. A milder cam was installed during the rebuild, and the roller rockers were left out.All wiring harnesses, connectors, and fuse block was replaced Suspension: New everything Car has been lowered using Moss Motors’ lowering springs on both front and back. Rear shocks have been replaced with Spaxs gas pressure adjustable tube shocks. Front shocks are also modern tube type. Polyurethane bushings through out Front sway bar New swivel assemblies and bearings Conclusion: This car is a joy to drive! Buyer could fly in to DFW airport and drive this car across the country! She is no trailer queen but has gotten rave reviews at the local car shows This car was built to drive and could easily be your daily driver in any weather I am selling it only because the wife wants me to do some remodeling on the house. Frankly, I need to raise some cash to do that. On Apr-27-11 at 15:41:32 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had the car at the local MG/Jag mechanics having him look at the odometer. The odometer stopped working and I wanted him to fix it before the sale. I am not able to get this repaired. The speedometer works great, but the odometer no longer keeps accurate mileage. I can include an un-installed, working unit with the sale of the car. sorry. Don't let this kill a deal with this car. You will still enjoy the heck out of it!!
