Vehicle Detail

For auction, I have a very original 1972 Chevy C 10 Cheyenne. This truck has a very solid body. I have owned the truck just a few short months and have had the carburetor and front end professionally rebiult. I do have the receipts. Between my work and my 2 sons ballgames it seems I just do not have the time to enjoy the truck so thats the reason for selling it. The previous owner stated the truck ran good. Since it is not currently licensed or insured I have driven it only here in my neighborhood and it has ran good. The mechanic said the engine had great compression. This is the Cheyenne model so it has AC(needs compressor) door edgeguards, power steering, power brakes, cargo light, and automatic transmission. It has a 350 engine and 350 turbo tranny that shifts great. I believe that the black/white/black is a more rare color for these trucks. Please see the pic of the glove box door for specific options. That color combo is original. The truck has a new wood bed installed that looks great. It has 15X8 rally wheels with beauty rings. The rings are awesome with very few scratches. The crayon marks are still visible on the firewall of the truck. The truck has very little rust. The rocker panels are original and have some rust but not too much. Again see pictures. The passenger side cab corner will need replaced but the driver side is OK. The black paint has a few scratches here and there while the white paint is in great condition. This truck is mostly original except for the radio, steering wheel, and seat. The seat is from a later model chevy truck. It has no tears or cracks. The chrome trim and woodgrain trim looks great. There is a small dent in the chrome part of the grill near the hood latch. All glass is good. The tailgate chevrolet letters needs the "O"--see pics. Tires are all good. All lights and signals work. The gas guage does not work. The engine has been mostly cleaned and painted. Truck floorboards are solid. I can not guarentee this truck in any way. It has ran good for me. It is being sold as is since it is an older model truck. Any other questions please ask. It will need to be picked up at zip 72941. I will ship it at expense of buyer. This is a nice mostly original 1972 Chevy Cheyenne. I have set a VERY low reserve for this collector truck. On Apr-19-11 at 18:51:54 PDT, seller added the following information: Just a follow to a question about the truck. The paint is decent. The pictures make the black look a little better than it is. Also, the front end has been aligned, several bushings have been replaced as has the idler arm. Drives perfect. The engine has been untouched other than an oil change and carb rebiult. This is NOT a new truck--it is 39 years old.On Apr-20-11 at 20:16:55 PDT, seller added the following information: Engine is 350 as stated. Not sure if original. My knowledge of the engine is minimal. I was told it ran good when purchased. It has ran good. I have had no reason tinker with it. Truck being sold as is.On Apr-25-11 at 14:19:21 PDT, seller added the following information: THE TRUCK DOES HAVE HEI IGNITION. Forgot to mention that. Also, I have added one picture. It is of the rear bedside on the driver side. There is small arear that is slightly recessed as shown. Thought it would appear in the closeups of the side of the truck but just noticed it didn't. The truck looks now just as it did when I purchased it.On Apr-25-11 at 20:25:48 PDT, seller added the following information: One last update--I drove the truck around this evening and heard a squeaking noise when I applied the brake from the left rear tire. I have not heard that before. Brakes are good though. Maybe sticking a little. We have had monsoon like rains in this area for 4 or 5 days now. Brakes may have gotten wet?
