1997 FORD CONTOUR LX If you are someone looking for a car to fix up to sell for proffit or to drive, this is one that you can tackle. This car does not run. It did when I bought it and drove it home 25 miles, and it ran good. It was a few day later when I went to change the plugs when I found that the whole engine wiring harness was deterioated and needs replaced, if you can find one.Ford had a recall on this, but the recall ended two weeks before I bought the car. I decided to rebuild the harness myself. I changed one wire at a time, except for a few places I had to change out more than one wire that was hooked together. Now I can't get it to fire. If you have a good understanding of automotive wiring and electricial drawing this would be a cheap and easy fix, just find what I did wrong. So far I have changed the wires out in the engine harness, fuel filter, gas filter, oil and filter. The tires are real good and interior is good, except a vent on the passanger side needs replaced. I also bought another computer for it. It also has new plugs and wires. My reserve is low and fair. This car has a 2.5L auto.
