This is a relatively rare vintage Jeep J10, late in the life of the production run Chrysler was only building roughly 1200 per year, the vast majority were V8 engines. This truck has the 4.2 liter inline 6 that was a staple of the Jeep/AMC product line for many years. It is a basic truck, automatic, 4 wheel drive, AC, power steering and brakes, that's it, nothing fancy! It does have four polished aftermarket rims, of an unknown brand, and the tires have good tread. Some History. I found this in a local farmers barn while looking at a couple of MG's, I was shocked to see just how rust free it was, and thought it was neat being a 6cyl. So I bought the Jeep and one MG, not really knowing what I would do with it. Well, that was last August, I drove it home, and as I already have a truck, I haven't done much to it. It has a clear TN title. Overall Condition. Originally a burgundy color it was given a marginal green paint job along the way, and in places it has swirls and sanding marks from poor prep. But the paint is fine for a work truck, and its rock solid. NO FRAME RUST, NO ROT IN THE BED, ROCKERS, etc. It starts and runs fine but will need a tune-up. The transmission shifts fine, and the 4wd engages but then makes bad sounds, so let's all assume the worst that the transfer case is bad, then nobody will be upset. It could be simple, but I don't know. The power steering is fine and the brakes are excellent. The bench seat and door panels have been redone along the way and look good. No carpet on the floor, but it does come with a full width fitted rubber floor mat, (not pictured). So she goes, stops and turns, but needs a knowing touch to bring her up to potential. Some Flaws. As the truck sat for some time it has a variety of small bits missing, that you would want to correct before driving, for safety. Missing bits are; both front directional signals, both side markers on the rear of the bed, seat belts. Small broken items include; one tail light lens, the indicator for shift position, one ashtray missing, and drivers armrest is off but included. The speedometer and odometer work fine, the other instruments don't, so I assume that is an issue with that circuit. All other electrical items work fine.
