1976 BMW R90/6 Motorcycle – classic black Vehicle Description: The bike is a fully restored 1976 BMW R90/6 which I purchased in Feb. 2005. The mileage listed is since the restoration. The restoration work was done by BMW Motoraad of St.Louis, Mo. Big twin of Boise and my self have kept this bike running and looking great. Listed below is the restoration work which I have Invoices for, followed by what I have added. This bike always draws comments! Restoration work: Frame, swingarm, driveshaft housing, and all body parts (6 gallon tank) were painted by Motoraad Engine disassembled, cleaned, tolerances checked and rebuilt as needed Entire bike disassembled and cleaned New rear main seal New clutch New Valve guides Valves and seats re-cut New Thunderchild heavy duty diode board installed Cylinders deglazed New voltage regulator Carburetors cleaned and rebuilt using new factory fit New ignition wires Driveline splines checked (perfect) and lubed New air intake tubes All new gaskets Most rubber seals replaced New exhaust fined collars New cables New front fender Master cylinder rebuilt with factory kit New front brake pads Stainless steel brake line New progressive fork springs New front turn signal housings New steering damper and knob “S” bars replaced New hand grips New swingarm bearings Petcocks cleaned and rebuilt New tank Knee pads Seat recovered New tank roundels New side covers New rear shocks New tires, tubes (Metzler ME33, ME99) Lots of thread left My additions: New front fork covers Engine guard Rear Enclosed carrier Rebuilt speedometer (set to post restore mileage) After Market Windscreen Problems: 1 inch dent in left muffler (see photo) Small ding in tank (see photo) Small patch on seat (see photo) Tool tray cracked Needs new battery box Valve covers ground down on bottom from spirited riding This is a very nice bike which I am reluctant to sell.
