The following listing is being posted on behalf of my father. Please direct all inquiries to him as specified by his narrative. I am offering for sale my extremely nice 1966 Chevrolet Corsa convertible which I have owned since 2007. At the time of purchase the odometer read 23,065 miles and now it shows 24,184 miles. The previous owner maintained that the miles were original and correct although he could not offer any documentation. The excellent overall condition of the car and its many individual components suggests that the miles could be, in fact, true. The protect-o-plate indicates that this car was delivered on 12/3/65 and purchased from Key Chevrolet, Frederick, MD. 1966 was the final year for the Corsa model. This is a colour change car. A previous owner apparently preferred something other than the original Aztec Bronze and had it repainted in its present red/orange. The car must have been totally dissembled because the transformation was done to a very high standard. Rust does not appear to have been a factor. The interior is still in the correct, and mostly original, Fawn (new carpeting and NOS rubber mat). I have replaced the top (beige), pads, well liner, and all related weatherstripping with quality products from Clark' Corvairs. Recently I acquired (also from Clark's) and replaced the battery cables. Both the clock and the radio work. The original glovebox cardboard liner is like new. The top is manually operated. The luggage compartment, complete with the factory rubber mat and courtesy lamp, has never been refinished (and showing some minor surface rust) apparently in an effort to preserve its originality. The car has 4 new Bridgestone Insignia SL 185/80 R13 WSW tires (less than 1k miles) as well as a matching spare (0 miles). It also comes with an (the?) original spare (Firestone Champion 6.50/13 nylon cord) showing excellent tread and presently located in the engine compartment and properly secured by a spare tire lock which is keyed to the car. All of the trim (emblems, potmetal, chrome, etc.) is excellent. All glass (including the original windshield) is very nice. The wire wheel covers are like new. The car recently had the front wheel cylinders replaced and the complete brake system was bled and fluid replaced (conventional). The car starts right up, shifts smoothly, and drives out nicely (no smoke, no leaks). Enough said. I have submitted many pictures. Please look them over thoroughly.
