YouTube link to watch a video of the car: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7etysxWLKI&feature=youtu.be This is a beautiful car inside and out. The car is very fast and it stops as well as it accelerates and It is very driver friendly. Information · Car was completely disassembled, stripped to bare metal and restored using urethane undercoats and topcoats. The car came from California and was very solid but it had its share of dents and dings which are normal for an old car. · There are a few small metal patches, one in the lower corner of each door, the lower left rear quarter panel behind the wheel well, one on each side of the filler panel under the rear glass between the trunk and glass and a fiberglass patch on the right side of the trunk floor where someone had installed a battery tray, the rest of the car was solid. · There was no rot in the floors or anywhere else in the car. · The car was painted the original color (Alamosa Aqua Blue) base coat clear coat and wet sanded and polished to a beautiful shine. The car and panels were painted while it was disassembled so there are not tape edges in the door jams, under the hood, inside trunk lip, doors, etc. · Interior: New headliner, seats, carpet and aftermarket gauges for water temp, oil pressure, fuel level and volts. All other interior was refinished and painted with interior vinyl die. Carpet and head liner are high quality purchased from Kennedy American. · Seats: New aftermarket, high quality. · A couple of trim pieces in the rear are broken. I re-installed them in pieces but they do not look to bad although you can see the crack if you look close. · These two pieces are easily replaced with little to no mechanical ability. As a whole the interior is excellent with the exception of a few easy to replace pieces. · Gaskets and seals: All new door weather strips rubber gaskets. New trunk seal and trunk mat. · New decals, trunk spare tire and engine family under hood · Engine specs: Engine and intake is painted base coat clear coat. R4B intake with Holley 750 carburetor with Proform center section, headers and high performance cam. · Engine block is .040 over with cast replacement pistons, the rods and mains are .020 and .030 under respectively. · The block was cleaned, honed, new, freeze out plugs, cam bearings, rings, rod and main bearings, gaskets, double roller timing chain, Erson cam, 284/296 intake/exhaust duration, .504/.504 lift intake/exhaust, matching lifters. · Rotating assembly was balanced to within one gram. · Heads were cleaned, valves were resurfaced, 3 angle valve job, new springs, retainers, keepers to match cam, new roller tip 1.6 ratio small block Chevy rockers, Chevy screw in studs and .100 long push rods making the valve train adjustable, new freeze out plugs. · Distributor: New Pertronics electronic conversion, new Pertronics 40,000 volt Flame thrower coil, stock cap, rotor, wires. · Starter: New. · Turn Signal Switch: New. · Cooling: New heavy duty 3 row radiator 160 degree thermostat. Car runs at 160 all day long, does not heat up what so ever. · Charging System: New alternator, voltage regulator, battery and cables. · Mounts: New motor mounts and transmission mount. · Glass: The glass has some scratches. Drivers door and quarter window have scratches. Windshield has some scratches in the direction of the wipers. The rest of the glass is pretty good. · Wheels and Tires: Tires are in very good shape with at least 85% tread life. Wheels are original and are presentable but have not been restored. Trim rings are in excellent shape. · Gas Tank: Gas tank is original and solid. · Gas tank Sending Unit: New aftermarket and reads ¾ when full. Original works accurate but the filter/sock came off of the pickup tube. Original will be included with car. · Fuel Pump: New Summit Racing electric. 105 gallons per hour, 14psi with regulator. · Exhaust: Headers were sand blasted and painted with high temp paint from Eastwood Co. The rest of the 2 ¼ inches exhaust is professionally done and welded with a crossover pipe installed to balance out the pressure from the motor. The car sounds great. · Brakes: New aftermarket power front disc brake conversion upgrade from “Scarebird”. · New remanufactured power brake booster and master cylinder. Rear drum brake assembly is in good shape and has not been replaced. Brakes work great. · Power Steering Pump: New seals. · Shocks: New front shocks with old air shocks in the rear which hold air well, no problems. · Transmission: Borg Warner heavy duty cast iron transmission was serviced to include filter, gasket, and fluid. Trans works well. · Mirrors: New from Kennedy American. · Exterior Trim and Bumpers: All trim, letters, AMX circles and both bumpers were painted base coat clear coat silver. Door handles have not been painted and show pitting. · Grille: Grille looks good very presentable and repainted black. · Tail Lights: Both tail light housings and center AMX reflector lens housing were sand blasted and painted base coat clear coat silver. · Lenses and AMX reflector was also painted lightly and clear coated to improve the faded appearance. · The lights and housings look great! · AMX Letters and Trim Rings: All letters and trim rings were painted base coat clear coat silver. · Rear Differential: The car has an open rear with tall gears. I am guessing around 287 or so, 2400rpm @ 70mph. It works well and there are no noises or problems with it. Good for gas millage and with the torque this car makes it accelerates well. · Torque Links: The car has factory torque links · Front and Rear Suspension: Suspension has not been restored with the exception of the front shocks but it seems to be in decent shape. The car goes straight down the road and there are no noises and it does not feel lose. I am sure new parts will be better but it is very drivable and enjoyable as is. I have represented this car as best as I can. I went far beyond what most would have for a car that was going to be sold because I am a person of integrity and am proud of the work I do. I know I would not like to buy a car and find out it was a butcher job. As I said this car is not an immaculate show car but it is VERY nice and you will be proud to own it and love driving it. If you are serious about buying this car I suggest you ask questions and if possible come to look at it because it will be sold as it. · I have many more pictures of the process if interested. Good luck and thank you for your interest On Apr-08-11 at 15:17:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Originally 290 auto now has a 390 with cast iron Borg Warner auto trans.
