Before listing a car on ebay, I personally test drive it so that I can tell you first hand how it looks runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based completely on my time behind the wheel and my observations about the condition of the car. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice 1999 Oldsmobile Alero coupe. Finished in silver with polished alloy wheels, this Alero looks great from any angle! Walking around the car, you will find that the body of this car is in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. The only wear I really noticed on this car was some fading of the paint on the rear spoiler which in normal for these cars. The polished wheels are in great condition and are wrapped in deep rubber all around. All of the glass is in tact, too. This is a great looking Alero...just check out the photos! On the inside, this Olds coupe is in great shape. I would rate the condition of the interior as EXCELLENT. The cloth seats are in remarkable condition and show almost no signs of wear. The carpets and headliner are in equally good condition. This Alero is loaded with options. In place of the standard tape deck is the optional factory CD stereo which sounds great. You get power windows and locks standard but this one has power mirrors and power drivers seat, too. The climate control is in excellent working condition and the air conditioning is ICE COLD. All of the electronics work except the sunroof which will not open. Pride in ownership definitely shows from bumper to bumper. The original owners manual is still in the glove box and the remote entry works just as it should. Everything is clean on this car down to the cup holders and the ash tray. The trunk is clean and spacious plus the rear seats fold down to allow for even larger items. Mechanically, she seems to be in good shape. The only quirk I could find is that the fuel gauge has a mind of its own. This is actually common on these cars and isn't too bad to fix but most people just set their tripometer when they fill up. The 3.4L engine fires right up and runs smoothly and quietly. I did not see signs of any leaks. During my test drive, the engine held proper operating temperature and there were no warning lights except an ABS light that stays on for some reason. The brakes feel strong and stop the car easily. The suspension and steering both feel nice and tight like they should. The optional V6 accellerates to highway speeds without breaking a sweat. On the highway, she drives strait as an arrow with no vibrations or pulling. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts as it should. This car drives very well. It is PA inspected through September of 2011. This engine is known to go well over 200k with routine care. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
