Vehicle Detail
This is a great work machine in great condition. In 8 years of ownership, this truck has never needed anything beyond the regular maintenance. Extremely reliable. I purchased this truck 8 years ago on ebay, when it was still "kinda scary" to buy a vehicle that way. We drove to Oklahoma to get it, and it has been worth every mile. Regarding the "utility shell" (tool camper?), manufactured by A.R.E. : I used this shell together with a pull-out deck to create an extremely efficient mobile workshop for carpentry and cabinet installation. My setup was always the envy of all the other tradesmen. I'm including this deck (made principally of a sheet of subfloor, with an eyebolt to lock it in place and a simple nylon strap to ease the pull out) with the vehicle if you want it. I've attached a picture of how I used the pullout on a typical job site. (saws and sawhorses are not included with the vehicle) The hatches each have two shelves and are lockable. All your gear, right at eye level. One of the eight hatch-lifting cylinders went bad on me and I've replaced it with a new one. Also, I ordered an extra one that I am including with the purchase. The same key locks the hatches and the double doors in the back. You'll get two copies. You'll also get two of the main truck key from Ford. Various details which you may find important: Always passed TN emissions testing with no problemsRegular oil change and maintenance paperwork availableFairly new battery with the paperwork for its pro-rated warrantyAC worksNo oil leaksCabin light is missing its shield but it does work (should be a pic of it below)2WDTires have most of their lives left (pic). Spare is a normal tire (pic). Tools for changing tires are under the passenger seat. Normal small dings and scratches that would be expected on a (well-kept) work truck of this age. Some paint flaking and the beginnings of rust are visible on the front and rear bumpers (pic). The only two blemishes larger than a quarter are pictured below. Both are minor and not visible from more than 20 feet away. There is a tear in the seat corner that seems to happen on all of the Fords with this type of seat. Doesn't affect the function or comfort of the seat. Smoke-free cabin.Cruise control does not work. Sorry. The only other issue that I know of is that the digital odometer sometimes doesn't show. As you can see, it was behaving when I took the odom pic below. I believe that this truck has the towing package option. It has the 7-pin trailer wiring hookup, a large battery, class 3 or 4 hitch, and there is an extra radiator which runs toward the transmission. It always did well when towing, though I didn't do a lot of it. I am including an adaptor that allows a hookup to the 4-pin type wiring. I'm selling this vehicle because I have "graduated" from field work to having my own woodworking business out of a shop, and I find that I am no longer using this truck enough to justify keeping it. Please feel free to call with questions: Nathan at 423-821-2571 On Apr-18-11 at 07:32:25 PDT, seller added the following information: The light was right this morning so that I could capture the two dings mentioned above. Here they are.
